Children’s hospitals rely on timely access to specialized medications, especially for kids receiving cancer treatment.

When a recent shortage of ifosfamide threatened supply, CHA worked with hospital partners, Vizient, the FDA, and suppliers to help ensure pediatric patients remained a priority.

By combining advocacy, collaboration, and data, CHA helped support access to this critical cancer drug for children’s hospitals across the country.

Remembering Melody💚💕 the beautiful emerald queen took her last breath 3 years ago yesterday. Melody was diagnosed with DIPG on March 4th, 2023, at the age of 14. She had barely turned 14 less than 2 months earlier. Melody was an 8th grader at the time and had been experiencing headaches. She was taken to the hospital to get to the bottom of what was causing her head pain. Horrifically, scans revealed an inoperable brain tumor, DIPG. Melody had dreams of becoming a pediatric oncology nurse. She had no idea she would be diagnosed with the worst form of pediatric brain cancer. She valiantly fought for 7 months and 2 days before gaining her wings. She even got to celebrate her dream quince where she was so stunning. She also got to meet her idol, Lauren Daigle. Melody should be here to see the world as a 17 year old. It will never be fair 💔🦋🤍 Kari Kari Melody

Meet Adam! Adam is 14 years old, a major lover of Pokémon and less than 3 months ago, his world changed. On July 23rd, 2026, Adam suddenly started having vision issues and he developed a severe migraine. He was taken to the hospital for an emergency MRI due to the extreme pain. After an emergency MRI, Adam was found to have two brain tumors along with spread to his spine. The cancer was identified as Non-germinoma germ cell brain and spinal cancer. Non-germinomatous germ cell tumors (NGGCTs) are rare, diverse cancers that primarily affect children and adolescents. Non-germinomatous tumors secrete chemicals into the spinal fluid and bloodstream. They require more intensive treatment than germinomas. In total, germ cell tumors constitute 3.3% of all brain tumors. He has been undergoing chemotherapy and will be starting 6 weeks of radiation treatments once he’s done with chemo. If you’re able to support Adam and his family, as he fights and undergoes treatment, you can scan the QR code in the image, and the donation link will also be available in my stories. The meal train link will also be in my stories!
