Here's the second set of drivers that will be competing in the Double 8 Showdown at DriftCon Afterdark on October 3! Check our latest stories to see what they drive.

The Double 8 Showdown is a 32 driver competition held on two different layouts at Evergreen Speedway. A big change for this year is drivers will have to qualify on both layouts that are used in competition. Battles will start on Layout 1 and once the bracket reaches the Top 8 it switches to Layout 2.

Want to hang out early and watch qualifying? Buy an Early Access ticket to get inside the gates at 12pm instead of the normal 3pm time.

Dario Retych is our fourth competitor for the Warfare on the 5/8 competition at DriftCon Afterdark!

This might be Dario Retych's first time competing on the 5/8ths bank in a drift car, but his 2JZ swapped FD RX-7 was built for layouts like this. He's a very consistent driver in all of our other banked layouts so this should be an awesome experience for him. We can't wait to see it!

We're excited to announce our third competitor for the Warfare on the 5/8 competition at Afterdark, Patrick Heald!

Patrick is a longtime DriftCon competitor with a good amount of experience on the big bank years ago. After a small issue with his S13 at the last round, it's now fixed and ready to attack the FD layout. We can't wait to see it!

A new challenger emerges! Alex Stines will be competing in the Warfare on the 5/8 competition at DriftCon Afterdark on October 3.

Alex is a Canadian driver who has extensive experience drifting in both the and events. This will be his first time throwing down on the big bank with his new build.
