Ever flip through your camera roll to post something and find one that makes you go - wtf was I doing? 🤣??

We had the pleasure of celebrating Danielle Merzatta’s feature with her at Merzatta, and now we’re excited to share the story behind her artistry. ✨

In our September Style Issue, we take a closer look at how Danielle turns the beauty she notices in the world around her from pinecones and peonies to stones, shells, and organic textures into distinctive, handcrafted jewelry.

Her story is one of creativity, craftsmanship, and community, tracing Merzatta's evolution alongside her husband, Chris, and the thoughtful approach that makes their Cattano Avenue shop such a special part of Morristown.

Discover Danielle’s story in the September issue of Greater Morristown City Lifestyle. 🤍

What a fun way to kick off September!🥂✨

We had such a great time stopping by Merzatta to celebrate their feature in both Greater Morristown City Lifestyle and Eastern Morris City Lifestyle, complete with with ch*****ne, treats, plenty of laughs, and of course, some gorgeous jewelry! 💎

One of our favorite parts of what we do is celebrating the incredible local businesses and people we have the opportunity to feature in our pages.

Thank you, Danielle Merzatta, for making it such a fun afternoon. We loved celebrating with you! 🥂

Just added the Anemone Trefoil Pendant to the Core! First worn by Candace D. so its name in my head is the Candace necklace. (Lots of your names are in mental parentheses after actual titles.)

Don’t want to make videos. Do want to show you our Core Organics Collection bracelets- so I hope stills are coming back like I keep hearing. 📸
I love these pieces. I love how they feel, how they’re made, how they make other people feel, how they look, how they age. I love that we add a single new stackable cuff each year on Giving Tuesday. I love that the Sea Fan Cuff is one of the first pieces of jewelry we made when we began this line 17 years ago and yet I am wearing one on my wrist that Chris made last week. I think that must make it an official Classic. I love hearing about your favorites or your wishlists and how they’ve been for you. 🖤 🎤

I love celebrating a pause. A moment to stop, take stock, breathe deep, with the knowing you get to begin again. Bookmarks are the poetic object that most represents that. And our bookmarks have beautiful new boxes that make them even more perfect gifts.

Look how this portrait naturally grew in these diamonds! The main form of the new collection is the portrait oval. I wear these two rings often on my right hand- the portrait oval at the center by Maya Kini - a soul friend in endless ways - and a gold cameo passed down from Aunt Gail- a water connection on my mom’s side. If you’re lucky enough to own a portrait ring by Maya Kini, then you’re lucky enough.

Lucky/unlucky isn’t exactly something we talk about a lot, but how things get passed down and whether or not things stay around long enough for the privilege is top of mind. Theft has a real role of the ever unfolding global jewelry story and if you’ve are unlucky enough to have lost to theft pieces that you loved, or pieces that you made and loved, then you’re unlucky enough.

The cameo collection includes five legacy cameos from days gone by and a series of stones that land in those shapes and colors. It includes sunstone and quartz and shell. When the price of gold skyrocketed, I thought about how other materials hold our labor and love in other ways- how carving a shell elevates it to cameo. But even so, how we ended up wrapping it in gold anyway.

Scrappy thoughts, my dears. But stop in the shop to see the diamond cameos. Those ones in the photo are wrapped in silver.

Our monthly mail club has really become quite precious to us. Here are some clips from the June mailing- if you’re in the club, we hope you loved it! (Feel very invited to share in a comment- we would so love for this to grow and your review is probably the ticket.) Today is the last day to sign up for July. ‘Snail mail’ was an insult when it came out as a phrase/ contrasting the speed of email and how fast the world had begun to move. But now, I think of ‘snail mail’ like a love letter compliment spell casting request that we move a little slower, scroll a little less, and reach out a little more. It’s totally working on our side- would love to be sending to you! 💌📬

I have a special request to source the sapphires to make another of this rainbow necklace- of course each one is totally unique, but the concept will be the same. Let me know if you want one too. ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
