⚠️Rabies Advisement ⚠️

October 8, 2026

A Raccoon recently submitted for testing has been found to be Positive for Rabies. The Raccoon was from Hainesport, in the area of Marne Highway and the Rancocas Creek Bridge.

The Burlington County Health Department is concerned that humans, as well as other wild and stray animals, may have come into contact with this raccoon. The Health Department is working to identify individuals who have been exposed to the raccoon.

The Burlington County Health Department is providing this information for your awareness and is urging residents to remain vigilant and take appropriate precautions to protect themselves, their families, and their pets.
1. If you have been scratched or bitten by wildlife animals or stray cats or dogs from this area in the last month, please contact the Burlington County Health Department.
2. Check the status of your pets’ rabies vaccine. Have your pet receive a rabies booster if it spends time outdoors, outside of your supervision and has not received its latest rabies shot within the last 3 months.
3. Avoid all wild animals – especially bats, skunks, foxes, cats and raccoons.

Rabies is a fatal viral disease that affects the brain.

The rabies virus lives in the saliva (spit) of infected animals and is spread from a bite or when saliva from an infected animal touches broken skin, open wounds or the lining of the mouth, nose, or eyes. Rabies in certain animals, especially wildlife, is common in New Jersey.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the health department at 609-265-5533.

🐾 Help Us Help Rosie Get Ready for Her Forever Home! 🐾

Sweet Rosie is getting ready for the next chapter of her life — finding her forever family! ❤️

As we prepare her for adoption, we’re asking for your help with her current $86 veterinary bill. Every dollar donated will help cover Rosie’s medical care and ensure she is healthy, happy, and ready to begin her new life with her forever family.

💕 Our goal: $86 to cover Rosie’s vet bill!

If you’re able to donate, even a small amount makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing Rosie’s story is just as valuable and helps us reach more people who may be able to help.
Thank you for supporting Rosie and helping us give her the fresh start she deserves! 😻🏡❤️

Please help us get Rosie one step closer to her Forever Home!

Our work continues, thanks to all of the wonderful people we work alongside to help TNR so many community cats each week. 🐾❤️

We partner with fellow volunteers to assist homeowners and community feeders with trapping and transporting kitties in need of spaying, neutering, vaccinations, and medical treatment when necessary.

The benefits of TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) help give these cats a healthier, safer, and better quality of life once they are returned to their outdoor homes.

We are so grateful to everyone who donates to our mission of creating a community of healthier kitties who must endure the elements of outdoor living.

With colder weather approaching, we will need more food than ever, as feeding needs nearly double during the colder months to help keep these babies warm, nourished, and healthy. ❤️🐱

A heartfelt thank-you to each and every one of you. We are incredibly grateful for your continued support of our dedication to helping the ever-growing number of vulnerable kitties in our community.

Together, we can make a difference—one kitty at a time. 🐾

With love and gratitude,
Angela

🐾 Meet Rosie! ❤️

Rosie is a sweet, playful young tuxedo who has truly learned how to be a domestic cat. In just three short months, she has gone from a very scared and cautious kitty to a loving, bright-eyed, inquisitive little cutie pie.

She isn’t bothered by the resident dogs or cats and happily goes about her day. She especially loves her tunnel and chasing string, and she’s getting better and better at being held. Watching her confidence grow has been so rewarding! 🥰

Rosie has come such a long way, and she is now ready to find her permanent, loving home where she can continue to blossom. ❤️🏡

If you’re interested in giving Rosie the forever home she deserves, please inquire about our adoption process.

Thank you for helping us find Rosie her happily-ever-after! 🐾💕

🐾 We’re in need of dry food again! 🐾

As the temperatures begin to drop, the outdoor kitties we help feed need more food to keep warm and maintain their energy. With so many cats relying on us, our food supply is going quickly.

If you’re able, please consider donating dry or canned cat food from our wishlist. ❤️

🙏 We are especially in need of dry food today, if possible!

Every bag and every can makes a difference and helps us continue feeding the many outdoor cats who depend on us.

From all of the outdoor kitties we help feed — THANK YOU for your kindness and support! 🐱❤️🐾
