H.R. 1 Navigation: Medicaid Enrollment & Work Requirements

Major changes to Medicaid are approaching, and preparation starts now.
Beginning July 31, 2026, New Jersey will begin notifying eligible Medicaid enrollees who may be subject to the new federal work requirement under H.R. 1. While the statewide implementation begins January 1, 2027, now is the time to understand what these changes mean and determine whether you qualify through work, education, community service, income, or an exemption.
