We understand that a large community festival can create challenges for downtown businesses, particularly when it comes to parking, traffic flow, and customer access. Those concerns are valid, and we appreciate the patience and partnership of our downtown business community.

For 61 years, this festival has been more than a weekend event—it has been a community tradition that has generated more than $2.5 million in charitable contributions supporting local organizations, programs, and initiatives. The most recent being a $150,000 donation to the City for a kids Playscape.

The festival brings thousands of visitors into our community, many of whom discover our downtown, parks, restaurants, and businesses for the first time.

While every business may not experience the same level of direct sales during the event, the festival helps strengthen the overall community brand, supports local nonprofits, drives tourism, and contributes to the quality of life that attracts residents, customers, employees, and future investment.

We remain committed to working with our downtown businesses to minimize disruptions, improve communication, and identify opportunities for greater participation and promotion.

Our goal is for the festival to continue being a source of pride and a benefit to the entire community for generations to come.
