As Cleft & Craniofacial Awareness Month comes to an end, so does our Gathered Goods fundraiser for The Blue Disc Project.

For families like ours, feeding isn't always simple. These tiny blue discs help make feeding possible, yet they can't be purchased separately and are difficult to access in many parts of the world. That's why The Blue Disc Project provides them free of charge to families in need.

The products in the Gathered Goods fundraiser were selected with 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 in mind. The goal of these products are to bring people together, inspire giving, and celebration!

The Blue Disc Project gives donated Dr. Brown’s® Infant-Paced Feeding Valves (the blue discs) to families around the world at no cost, helping babies with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other feeding challenges get the supplies they need.

Right now, our supply of donated blue discs is very limited.

If your baby has outgrown them or you have unused blue discs tucked away in a drawer, please consider mailing them to us. Even a few donated discs can make a life-changing difference for another family.

A child born with a cleft lip and/or palate benefits from much more than surgery—they benefit from an entire team working together. 💙

A cleft lip and palate team includes specialists such as surgeons, orthodontists, speech-language pathologists, geneticists, audiologists, nurses, pediatric dentists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals who each play an important role in a child's growth and development.

Working with a cleft lip and palate / craniofacial team helps children and their families get connected to the care they need! This journey often starts before baby is born with team members discussing important items, including feeding!

Feeding can be a challenge for babies born with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial conditions. The Blue Disc Project aims to help these children by collecting new and gently used blue discs from the Dr.Brown's Specialty Feeding System.

The Blue Disc Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that began with a simple idea: turn something small into something meaningful. We collect new and gently used Dr. Brown’s® blue discs (officially called the Infant-Paced Feeding Valve) and related feeding accessories, then carefully clean, package, and send them to families who need them - at no cost.
