Aitah for kicking my brother’s fiancé out of my house for eating food I told her not to?

I (f20) am six months pregnant and I have food, allergies, my brother and his fiancé (m28) and (f40) are spending the week with me while they're getting their house renovated. I cannot eat certain things and she knows that I came home from work and she was eating all my food and cooking food that I'm allergic to. I told my brother and he said to just don't worry about it, but then I got mad and I kicked her out.

Some people are saying it's just my emotions but if I have food allergies, I do not want people eating my safety food and offering me food. I cannot have my family says I am wrong and I should apologize. Am I the a__hole?

I didn't think I would be updating this early, but here's our first update I have thrown out all of the dishes she has used because there's no point of me keeping them if she has cooked food that I'm allergic to in it I am currently on my way to go grocery shopping so I can have some thing to eat for the next week with all my allergies and tolerances. It cost about $120 for me to eat for two weeks so good thing I got paid today, but it's not fair This has happened.

I asked my brother if there was a chance that he could help me get some of the things and he said no he could not. I told him that him and his fiancé have to leave but they're two little girls...

AITA for telling my sister that our parents don’t have to agree with her relationship?

My (21F) sister isn’t accepted by my (29M) parents for being gay. Throw away account so my family cant link this back to me. For some context: My little sister is a le***an. Our family does not support her decisions, but I don’t give a fck who she sleeps with. When she came out she was distanced from the family, but we started talking again after finding out our father is dying.* After things in the family being rocky for a long time we decided to all get together at my parents house. My dad said he wanted to put all of the drama and bickering aside, and if we have a problem with each other we can wait until he passes. Everyone agrees, including my sister, so I was expecting to have a nice family BBQ. My family wanted to meet my sister’s girlfriend, and insisted that she brought her over. We were all excited to meet her. My sister’s girlfriend seemed like a nice girl, but she was very stand off-ish. She kept to herself, and didn’t speak much to my parents and me. For the most part she was glued to my sister. This caused some awkward silence. I started asking about their relationship. How did they meet, how long have they been together, and I even joked around about if she hurt my sister blah blah blah. My parents started acting stranger by each question. I asked my mom what was wrong, and her response was: “This isn’t right.” I could tell my sister and her girlfriend were uncomfortable, and my dad tried to...

AITA for leaving Christmas dinner after my mother-in-law made a comment about my acne and weight?

I still have acne at 31 years old. My mother-in-law (63f) has made a comment about my acne every time my husband (33m) and I visit his parents. Before Christmas, I had asked my husband to tell his mom to please stop commenting on my acne. My husband said he talked to his mom.

My husband and I went to his parents for Christmas dinner. All his siblings and their spouses were there. His uncle and aunt were there. When we arrived, my MIL made a comment about my acne. Then she said I gained weight. At least one sibling and their spouse heard what my MIL said. I just turned around and left.

When my husband got home, he said that he was disappointed in his mom's behavior. Then he said he was disappointed at my behavior. He said I should have been the bigger person. He said his mom is old and old people are notoriously insensitive. Am I the a__hole ?

AITA for pointing out my cousin's mistakes while playing a card game

This is kind of dumb compared to the other stuff in this subreddit and isn't that big of a deal in my opinion, but I still want to hear what you think because if my approach actually was wrong I do want to change it and I do want to hear what you think would've been a better option.

I (17F) and my cousin (13F) were playing a card game that I've been playing for literally years while she had just recently learned, so of course she doesn't really have a solid strategy yet and sometimes does dumb moves, there's nothing wrong in that and I have also of course done a lot of dumb moves when I was still learning (and sometimes still do some dumb moves) because it's normal,

So that why whenever she did a dumb move I tried explaining to her why that wasn't the smartest move not to be like "lol you suck" because that's literally a kid and of course doesn't have the same level of experience as me, but because I wanted her to learn from her mistakes and understand why it was dumb so she'll do better in the future because this is how you improve and she seemed to listen and understand and she didn't seem upset so of course to me everything was fine.

For the most part she played well and just did a few small common mistakes that everyone does at first and that I myself used to do before people explained to me why they were mistakes and only one actually major...

AITA For Drawing a Hard Line at My Dad’s Wedding, Rejecting the Unity Ceremony?

My dad's engaged to his partner of 2ish years. They moved in together last month and their wedding is in December. I (17m) am dad's only bio kid.

His almost wife has 3 kids of her own. Her kids are younger like under 10, maybe they're even all under 8 I'm not that sure. They decided they want to do a family unity ceremony and have it be about becoming one family instead of the two of them being a married couple.

His future stepkids are excited by the idea and want to take part. I don't and won't take part. I already explained to him that I'm not interested and can't be talked into it.

He asked me why and pushed for me to reconsider. He told his wife and she's freaking out because her kids have this idea that they'll get a big brother out of this marriage and my dad and her told the kids we'll be real siblings once the two of them are married. All of this despite the fact I really don't know her or her kids.

I have really only spent any real time with the kids twice and it was more me trying not to be a d__k than me wanting to spend time or get to know them. I think that and I think that's obvious because I don't know their actual ages. Some background to explain some relationship dynamics because I'm sure there are questions.

My dad raised me alone. My mom took off when I was less than a year old. I...

I just found out I (34F) would have no claim on my fiancé’s (35M) and mine’s marital home. I feel deceived and don’t know how to proceed?

I’ve been engaged to my fiancé, Matt for 6 months now. I’m also 7 months pregnant and have a 4 year old child from a previous marriage. We had plans to marry 5 months ago but his grandpa passed away and in order to observe to mourning period, we postponed our wedding.

Now, I am making this post precisely because I read another story here about how a husband tried to financially s__ew his wife over by getting his dad’s name on property and then transferring it to him, so that the property isn’t connected at all to the marriage and by extension the wife.

I’m also a stay at home parent to my 4 year old and been nesting for our baby on the way. My fiancé has been in the family business with his dad for many years now and we rent right now. I already knew of my fiancé’s plans for our first home together, which is currently in the process. He has put down deposits for our home in his dad’s name which will be transferred to him shortly. He said that this was for tax purposes and I never bothered doing any research on this but now I can see this is to ensure that he doesn’t lose the house in case we separate.

We have a prenup and I talked to him about this, and I agree that this is his asset from money saved over the years and now I can’t help but wonder if I should’ve known better. I don’t have a good feeling about this, especially...

AITA for refusing to change my necklace?

I have worn a necklace for the last ten years. My friend, who is pagan, gave it to me as a gift when we first met. This friend passed away last year. The necklace is a pentagram.

I do not believe it has magic. I am agnostic. I do not believe in any religion being better than another, because I don't think any religion is right. But I keep this to myself. I just like the necklace and my friend was/is important to me. It is the only jewelry I wear.

I recently met my brother (Måns) for dinner and he introduced his girlfriend Eva (early 30s). She is Christian. She believes in very many things I do not.

She was very polite, but my brother told me she was uncomfortable. He said she comes from a culture where those things are evil. She does not want it in her life.

I said I am not evil. I am wearing a star. It is rude. I did not ask her to take off her crucifix, which had a dead man nailed on it. Which creeps me out a little.

He told me that Eva would be coming to dinner next Sunday. It would be at our parents' home. They do not believe either. Måns asked them to please talk to me. They said no. In their home I will wear what I like. They have said they would not pray either, like Måns has asked.

Our sister Greta has asked Måns not to bring around someone ignorant.

Måns is mad at...

AITA For Always Saying My Stepfather Isn’t My Dad After He Keeps Calling My Late Father “The Guy Who Made My Son”?

My dad died when I (16m) was 8. My mom married her husband when I was 12. We don't really see eye to eye and a big reason is he's called my dad my birth father or 'the guy who made my son' since he and mom moved in together.

To me birth father sounds like I was adopted or I'm a donor conceived kid which I'm not. I'm not her husband's son either so him calling my dad the guy who made *his* son pi**es me off. I told him and I told my mom that I didn't like how he talked about my dad.

He told me I was being nitpicky and sensitive and he's just letting people know he's the person raising me now. My mom told me there are worse things than being called his son and a lot of kids would be giddy if a stepparent claimed them. I told her I'm dad's son and will never be her husband's.

She told me she loved dad too and used to think it would be weird to be another man's wife but she said it's so healing to let someone else in. Then she asked me why I couldn't be happy to have two dads and I told her because I don't and I don't want two dads either. She said that made her sad and I told her that her sadness didn't help me with her husband.

When I called him that she visibly cringed and told me it was such an impersonal way to speak about him. I...

AITA because I didn’t wake my friend up when she had an important meeting?

Me and my friend live together for three years now. She has no job and today she had an appointment at some place (not a job interview) where they talk about her future and stuff. I’m moving to my boyfriend next month and she struggles with money and her mental health and for that, this appointment was important.

I’m working from home, starting at 6am, so I went to her room at 9 (like she asked me to yesterday) to wake her up. She said another time. I called her 5 times (cause my feet is sprained and walking is tricky right now) on phone she said I should just wake her up again after my meeting at 11am. Problem was that with the meeting came a whole wave of calls to me and I couldn’t just leave. Tbh though I also forgot in that moment that I could just call her and I wasn’t sure when her appointment would start.

So after work was going smooth again I went to her room. She was already up and in the bathroom.

I went to my office again, and suddenly she came in asking angrily if I didn’t wake her up after my 11am meeting? I told her no because I had a call. Turns out her appointment was at 1pm.

And then she took her w**d stuff, went to her room and slammed the door.

I feel like the biggest a__hole, but at the same time I feel a bit angry. Because I’m not her caretaker. But then, I did agree to wake...

AITA for telling my son he was being childish after he was mad that I didn’t attend his football game?

Last year, my son asked me to go to more of his high school football games to support him. Because of my irregular schedule (I’m an ER physician at my local hospital), it’s hard for me to commit to watching 3 hours of football every week. Nevertheless, I made an effort to visit at least two of my son’s games last year.

Recently, my son’s been badgering me about going to more of his games. I’ve tried to explain that work is keeping me really busy recently, but he keeps insisting that I go. He’s asked me quite a few times these past 4 weeks, but I keep reiterating that I’m busy. Last week, he tells me that it is his first game starting, and he would really like me to be there for support. I told him that I’d try my best to be there, and he was very glad.

However, the day of the game, my co-worker was diagnosed with Covid and I had to immediately go to work. I sent my son a text saying I couldn’t make it, but I’d be home by 9:00 and we could watch his highlights.

However when I got home, my son is locked in his room. I asked him what’s wrong and he blew up on saying that I don’t support him because I blew off another one of his games. I reminded him that I do support him because I still allow him to play during Covid. He screamed that allowing him to play is not showing support and that if I really wanted...
