...in this season of life, we are in the same place. We all feel big things. We all struggle with the changes in our lives. We all make mistakes as we navigate it. This season reminds us all the more that apart from Christ, we can do nothing. We need God’s grace to carry us and sustain us.

You were never meant to carry every burden alone. When we place our cares in God's hands, He faithfully gives us the strength to continue.
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Listening communicates that we value the other person, that we want to know and understand them, and that we are with them. Listening helps the other person process their thoughts and feelings aloud, and often, in that process, they learn something about themselves.

God cares about the things that weigh heavily on our hearts. We can surrender our anxieties to Him, knowing that His care is personal, faithful, and constant.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

As hard as it is, this change is for the best. Motherhood is essentially working
ourselves out of a job. We labor for all those years so that one day, our children grow up and fly on their own. Our job is to prepare them for that day.

Prayer changes where we carry our worries. Instead of allowing anxiety to consume us, we can bring every concern before God, trusting Him with what we cannot control.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
