🥵 Hot or Cold 🥶
So many Christians are quick to tell other people why their beliefs are wrong. They mock other religions, criticize different denominations, talk badly about people behind their backs, and sometimes treat those who believe differently as though they’re beneath them.
But where is the good news?
Where is Jesus?
Jesus warned us about being lukewarm:
“I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.” — Revelation 3:15–16
If we truly believe we have been given good news, shouldn’t we actually share the goodness of God rather than simply attacking what everyone else believes?
People don’t always need religion thrown in their face. Sometimes they need to see Jesus in you.
Jesus said:
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” — John 13:35
And He commanded us:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Mark 12:31
They need to see the person who used to be angry becoming patient.
The person who used to hate learning to forgive.
The person who was broken becoming whole.
The person who had every reason to be bitter choosing love.
The person who lived in darkness beginning to walk in the light.
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
Your life can make someone curious about the God who changed you.
That doesn't mean we should be ashamed to speak about Jesus. The Gospel should absolutely be shared. But there is a difference between sharing the truth in love and trying to win an argument by humiliating someone.
Peter tells us to be ready to explain the hope we have, but to do it “with gentleness and respect.” — 1 Peter 3:15
Jesus didn't call us to be people who simply point out everyone else's sins.
He called us to be His witnesses.
So don't hide your faith.
Don't just talk about Jesus.
Love like Jesus. Forgive like Jesus. Serve like Jesus. Show grace like Jesus.
And when people ask what changed you, tell them about Him.
Because if we're going to tell people about a God who transforms lives, shouldn't our own lives reflect that transformation?
Don't be lukewarm. Be a living reflection of Christ.

Looking back at this picture, I’m so thankful we stopped and prayed before heading home.
This is me, Shane, and Jordan from Reel Evangelism at Faithfluence. Before we left, Jordan prayed over us and our journey home.
At the time, we had no idea just how much we would need that prayer. The drive home ended up being very dangerous, but God’s hand was over us every mile of the way. 🙏🏼
Sometimes God puts people in our path at exactly the right moment. This was one of those moments for me. We may have thought we were just leaving a conference, but God was already preparing us for the road ahead.
Thank You, Jesus, for protection we can see—and protection we never even know we needed.
“The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8”

The spiritual warfare has been unmatched these last few months.
I was warned that when I truly started following God, we would hit turbulence. I had no idea the extent of the pain, loss, and chaos that would follow.
Our car battery went out.
My part-time job closed.
A family member blocked me right before our wedding, even though she had agreed to handle the flowers and be a bridesmaid.
Our washing machine broke.
We cancelled our original wedding plans.
Family became angry with us, and huge fights led to multiple permanent fallouts.
We had a mouse infestation that forced us to throw away food and belongings.
A family member made two separate su***de attempts.
Multiple family members and friends have battled addiction.
Nextdoor stopped allowing us to advertise our business.
My dad had a massive heart attack and needed SIX bypasses. Then he developed complications and ended up back in the hospital.
My stepmom is battling cancer for the second time.
Two friends died this past week—one from cancer and one from addiction.
A lifetime's worth of family drama.
Financial struggles.
And yet...
GOD IS STILL GOOD.
Because when I look closer, I don't just see what was lost.
I see what God did through it.
The car battery going out became a blessing when our family immediately showed up to help us with a jump.
Shane found a part-time job.
God removed people from our lives that we couldn't carry into our next season.
A friend gave us a huge discount on a new washing machine, and a family member went and picked it up for us.
We ended up having a beautiful, intimate wedding surrounded by the people who genuinely supported us.
The fights revealed people's true colors—and showed us who would actually stand in our corner when we needed them.
Our landlord eventually fixed the mouse problem.
The battles involving mental health taught us that not every battle is ours to fight. Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is surrender it to God and trust that He's working even when we can't see it.
Nextdoor's new rules taught us to stop putting our trust in one source of provision and lean more heavily on God.
Sick family members have taught us to pray harder, believe harder, and trust our Heavenly Father.
The deaths of friends have reminded us that life is short. We don't know how long we have, so we need to love deeply, forgive quickly, and live intentionally.
The drama has taught us to keep our eyes on God instead of allowing the enemy to steal our attention, our peace, and our joy.
And through ALL of it...
Praise God, our bills are still paid.
The enemy can throw whatever he wants at us, but he cannot change who God is.
God is still our Provider.
God is still our Father.
God is still faithful.
And God is still good.
It's easy to look at everything we've lost and ask, "Why is all of this happening?"
But I've learned that sometimes freedom comes when you stop focusing only on what was lost and start asking:
"God, what are You teaching me through this?"
Because God can take the things that were meant to break you and use them to build you.
He can take the loss and bring growth.
The pain and bring purpose.
The closed door and create a new path.
The battle and turn it into a testimony.
What the enemy meant for evil, God can use for good. (Genesis 50:20)
So if you're in the middle of a storm right now, look up.
You're not alone.
God is right there with you.
He may not remove every storm immediately, but He will never leave you in it alone.
And when you can't see what He's doing, trust that He's still working.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." — Hebrews 13:8
He is constant in a world that never stops changing.
He was faithful yesterday.
He's faithful today.
And He will be faithful tomorrow.
God has provided. God is providing. And God will provide.
So bring Him your pain.
Bring Him your fear.
Bring Him your finances.
Bring Him your family.
Bring Him your unanswered questions.
Bring Him EVERYTHING.
And watch what a good Father can do with it.
And to everyone who prayed with us, checked on us, encouraged us, helped us, showed up for us, and supported us while it felt like the world was being ripped out from underneath our feet—
thank you.
We will never forget the people who stood beside us during one of the hardest seasons of our lives.
God used your kindness, your prayers, and your support to remind us that we were never truly alone.
We love you, we appreciate you, and we pray that God blesses you abundantly for every bit of love you poured into us.
What a blessing it is to have people who will hold your hands up when you don't have the strength to hold them up yourself. 🙏❤️
