Mark Reed for Supervisor

I want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to come out and vote in the 2026 primary election for the District 5 County Supervisor. It was a record breaking turnout.

It was a privilege to run with such a great set of candidates this election cycle. I would like to say thank you to all of them for putting themselves in the crosshairs of public scrutiny and say “I’d like to serve my community”. It takes courage to take that step to run for public office.

I would also like to recognize the professionalism, respect and integrity each candidate showed during their campaigns. These kinds of efforts demonstrate the kind of community we all come from here in the mountains.

Although the results did not come out the way I would have preferred I have to acknowledge the beautiful relationships that have formed over each and every campaign for public office I have been involved in. I will remain dedicated to serving our community in any capacity I can for the preservation of our mountain lifestyle.

I will be announcing soon who I will be supporting and endorsing if our next Supervisor is not determined by a 50% + 1 vote by the final vote count.

Sincerely,

Mark Reed
