Pacific Intermediate 6th graders put their math skills to work during Operation Day! 💡

Taking on the roles of Lead Surgeons, students used PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply/Divide, Add/Subtract) to solve order-of-operations problems and “unlock” surgical tools.

This activity strengthened mathematical reasoning, attention to detail, and collaborative decision-making while making learning fun!

💜 Staff Member of the Week is Coach Cain! 💜

Coach Cain was nominated by Mr. Mize.

Coach Cain does a phenomenal job at setting a standard for physical fitness for our sixth grade students. He holds them accountable, teaches them work ethic, and encourages them to give their best effort every day!

🎉 Fun Friday started off with an assembly! 🎉

PHS DECA joined us to share information about the Ronald McDonald House and how we can help support children and families in need. PI will be collecting drink tabs to support the Ronald McDonald House Foundation! ❤️

We also recognized students as Difference Makers for demonstrating our core values: Community, Learning, Perseverance, and Integrity. 🌟

We wrapped up the assembly with a fun game of “Finish the Lyric”! 🎶 Six students battled it out to the finish, with “Jolene” serving as the final challenge! 🎤

What a fun way to kick off our Friday! 💜

History came to life in Pacific Intermediate’s 6th grade social studies classes! 👏

Students worked in small groups to create cave paintings, designing symbols, choosing natural-looking colors, and sharing the stories behind their artwork.

This creative, hands-on activity sparked meaningful conversations about communication, culture, and how people have shared stories throughout history.

🎉 Congratulations to Ms. Stumborg’s and Mr. Gilcrease’s 1st-hour classes for having the highest attendance! Their classes have earned the Traveling Dinosaur for the week! 🎉
