A little kitchen dance party can be a heart-healthy family habit. ❤️🎶
Today, September 29, is World Heart Day—a reminder to care for our hearts at every age.
Dancing together gets parents and kids moving, supporting heart health while making activity fun. Your example matters, too: active parents tend to raise active children!
Singing has a heart connection: research on group singing found that musical phrases shape breathing and the natural rise and fall of heart rate.
And connection can be quieter, too—a child sitting in a parent’s lap, swaying together, holding hands, or sharing a familiar song. Those moments make room for closeness, comfort, and your undivided attention. 💛
At Peek-a-Boo Music’s Music Together® classes, we celebrate moving, singing, and connecting as a family.
Sometimes the magic is in the pause. 🎶🕷️
When we pause during “The Itsy Bitsy Spider,” little ones get a chance to anticipate what comes next—and join in with a sound, gesture, or word!
Like peekaboo, familiar songs help children recognize patterns and feel safe knowing what comes next. Those little pauses also help them hear musical phrases while giving them space to participate.
This fall at Peek-a-Boo Music’s Music Together® classes, we’re making room for learning through joyful moments of singing, playing, and connecting. 🍂💛

One of our favorite parts of our Music Together® classes is watching children introduce—or reintroduce—their grownups to the joy of making music. 🎶
Many adults arrive feeling a little intimidated because someone once told them they couldn’t sing, had no rhythm, or simply weren’t “good at music.” But music isn’t reserved for professional performers, and class isn’t about sounding perfect.
It’s about singing, moving, playing, laughing, and connecting with your child. When grownups participate freely, they show little ones that music belongs to everyone.
