One thing that is so strange about gluten is the wide array of symptoms it can cause. What are your symptoms when you get “glutened”??
Share your favorite chain and local restaurants, and why they get your vote! (Be sure to list the city.)
What’s the number one tip or hack you share with someone who is newly gluten free?
💚 September Celiac Awareness Project Meetup! 💚
We had such a wonderful time at our September meetup at a NEW location — Coffee on the Mooove! ☕🐮
One of our favorite things about this community is sitting around a table with people who truly get it. 💚 We loved talking with others living with Celiac disease and gluten intolerance, hearing their journeys, sharing our own experiences, and swapping tips, stories, and encouragement.
And the BEST part? Everything on the menu at Coffee on the Mooove is gluten-free! 🙌 It was so nice to relax, enjoy our food, and not have to worry about navigating a menu or asking a million questions!
We also had some great conversations about advocacy and the Celiac Safety Act and how we can help support this important legislation. If you’d like to get involved, the Celiac Disease Foundation makes it incredibly easy! You can enter your information on their website, and they will send a prewritten email directly to your members of Congress. Every voice matters, and together we can help make a difference! 💚
Teresa also shared about her recent Celiac Cruise experience! 🚢 Hearing about her trip, the food, the community, and what it was like to travel surrounded by people who understand the gluten-free life was so much fun.
Layla shared about her experience at Miss Georgia’s Teen and how meaningful it was to have the opportunity to share her Celiac journey and spread awareness through her platform. 💚 We are so proud of the way she continues to use her voice to educate, encourage, and connect with others.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made this meetup so special! We are so grateful for this growing community and the opportunity to connect, learn, laugh, advocate, and support one another.
💚 Together, we’re spreading awareness, creating community, and reminding each other that we’re never alone in this journey.
