In her first Nurses Week message as Sigma president, Liz Westcott describes how the leaders she most admires embrace the heart and skill of the profession—leading with empathy, authenticity, fairness, and professionalism. She also highlights the organization’s call to action, , challenging each of us to carry it forward in our own roles throughout Nurses Week and beyond.

Beyond compassion, there’s skill. Beyond expertise, there’s heart. Nursing is where both come together—every single day. This Nurses Week, we’re celebrating the power behind the care you give and the impact you make, in every role, every shift, and every expectation. Happy Nurses Week! 💜
