Individual therapy starts with you, not a script. 💙
At Safe Social Space Therapeutic Services, one-on-one support is thoughtfully tailored to each person’s strengths, goals, communication style, and pace. Together, we can focus on what matters most: building connections, growing confidence, navigating emotions, strengthening coping skills, and making daily life feel more manageable.
Our approach may include CBT and ABA strategies, used thoughtfully and person-centeredly, not as a one-size-fits-all formula. With a consistent, trusted therapist, individuals have space to talk things through, reflect, practice, and grow.
Individual therapy can complement Group Therapy, Social Skills Groups, Behavior Support, and Community Participation Support while reflecting ODP’s Everyday Lives principles of choice, self-determination, and independence. ✨
Services are available across Montgomery, Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, Chester, and the Lehigh Valley. We accept Community Living, Consolidated, PFDS, and Adult Autism (AAW) waivers.
For current enrollment details, including the $50 fee and our May 2026 launch location at 500 Office Center Drive, Fort Washington, PA, contact Latia Sheppard-Wilson at 267-513-1945, email [email protected], or visit www.safesocialspacellc.org.

What if belonging never depended on speaking first? 💙
There is no single “right” way to communicate. Speech, AAC devices, sign language, picture systems, typing, gestures, facial expressions, and needing extra processing time, all count.
Communication is a right, not a prerequisite for connection, participation, or community.
At Safe Social Space, we build communication access into Social Skills Training, Community Participation Support, Skill Building, and group programs. We follow each person’s lead, honor their preferred communication method, and create room for autonomy, dignity, and choice, without requiring speech as the price of belonging.
That’s the Everyday Lives philosophy in action: supporting people to participate meaningfully, build independence, and be recognized for the strengths and perspectives they bring.
Every voice matters. Every way of communicating deserves respect. ✨

Saying “yes” to a role is only the beginning. The first 90 days are where belonging is built, or broken. 💙💛
Accessible onboarding can help a neurodivergent learner or new hire feel confident, connected, and ready to contribute:
• Send a welcome message before day one with the schedule, where to go, who to ask for help, and what the first week will look like.
• Pair the new team member with a designated mentor or buddy for the first 90 days.
• Create predictable routines and provide written, step-by-step instructions, not verbal-only hand-offs.
• Offer a quiet, low-stimulation place to reset.
• Schedule regular, short check-ins.
• Ask directly: How do you communicate, learn, and receive feedback best?
These are not special favors. They are good design for everyone, and they help teams gain the strengths neurodivergent professionals bring, including deep focus, pattern recognition, attention to detail, fresh perspective, and honesty.
When onboarding removes friction, person-centered learning can build technical autonomy, independence, confidence, and meaningful contribution. That is the Everyday Lives philosophy in action: creating pathways to full community participation and belonging.
Employers, families, and supporters: message Safe Code or email [email protected] to talk about accessible onboarding. Questions about the campaign, including the $50 fee and the May 2026 launch location in Fort Washington, PA, are welcome.

Behavior is a language: and every message deserves to be heard. 💙
A behavior may communicate a need, feeling, frustration, strength, or a request for support. At Safe Social Space Therapeutic Services, our Behavior Support (BS) services help individuals explore what their behavior may be communicating and build meaningful ways to express themselves.
Using person-centered, evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), we focus on:
✨ Understanding emotions and patterns
✨ Building practical coping strategies
✨ Strengthening self-advocacy
✨ Supporting confidence, autonomy, and independence
This is not about changing who someone is. It’s about building understanding, honoring communication, and creating tools that support Everyday Lives.
