Philadelphia entrepreneurs: tomorrow, we’re building, connecting, and investing in Black business. 🖤💛

I’m excited to participate in The Black August Summit, presented by Mom Your Business, on Friday, August 28, 2026, representing SourceWorthy™.

This isn’t just another networking event. It’s an opportunity for founders to strengthen the infrastructure behind their businesses through capital, capacity, connection, coaching, visibility, and community.

📍 The Black August Summit
📅 Friday, August 28, 2026
📍 Braid Mill | Philadelphia, PA
🎯 Entrepreneurs, founders, small business owners & community supporters

Attendees can expect business-building resources, access to capital and grants, live coaching, professional headshots, founder connections, a pitch competition, the Melanated Marketplace and more.

And I’ll be there representing SourceWorthy™! 🙌🏾

Why supporting local businesses matters

When we support local entrepreneurs, we aren't simply making a purchase. We're helping businesses build capacity, create jobs, circulate dollars within our communities and develop the infrastructure required to compete for larger opportunities.

Small businesses don't need performative applause.

They need customers. Contracts. Capital. Connections.

That distinction matters.

💡 3 Things to Know About SourceWorthy™ Fractional CPO Services

1️⃣ We bring enterprise-level procurement strategy to growing businesses.
SourceWorthy™ provides Fractional Chief Procurement Officer leadership without requiring a company to hire a full-time C-suite procurement executive.

2️⃣ We help businesses become contract-ready—not simply opportunity-aware.
We assess procurement readiness, sourcing strategy, supplier positioning, certifications, capability, processes and the operational gaps that can prevent a company from successfully pursuing and executing contracts.

3️⃣ We focus on sustainable growth after the contract is won.
Winning the opportunity is only part of the equation. Businesses also need the systems, suppliers, processes and procurement discipline necessary to deliver, scale and protect margin.

That's what being SourceWorthy™ is about.

If you're attending tomorrow, come find me! Tell me about your business, what you're building and the contract you're preparing to win next. 🤝🏾

Let's continue to buy local, refer local, partner local—and position local businesses to compete globally.

I watched my own TEDx Talk…and made myself cry. 🥹🎤

Not because I didn't know what I was going to say.

I cried because I knew what it took to become the woman standing on that stage.

There are moments when you finally see the distance between who you were, what you survived, and who you're becoming.

This was one of mine.
