We’re painting as many naked bike riders as we can on August 22, and this year we’re bringing a brand new large-scale bodypaint experience to the ride.

After years away, we’re incredibly excited to reconnect with one of the most creative, colorful, and inspiring communities in the country.

We’ve also been working on something special for this year’s ride.

We were in Ithaca, NY launching the next THING and ended up all over the East Coast in tiny towns and thrift stores, digging through bins and boxes and weird little corners hunting for vintage stamps for the Human Scrapbooking Experience.

We found amazing stamps in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and even Virginia. And the coolest one? A stamp from 1985 we pulled out of a thrift store in Roanoke, VA.

We can’t wait to load these up with our handmade blacklight bodypaint and stamp them on you. This collection is getting ridiculous!!

The Human Scrapbooking Experience is back and it’s fully staffed, fully built, and ready. Our artists will transform your body with glow stamps, glow glitter, and cosmic stickers. It’s an exciting and highly interactive way to be part of the art at The Thing.

Fun fact: we developed our own top secret blacklight bodypaint formula optimized for stamping, and it’s out of this world.
