One of my favorite catches. I spotted this fish with fins out the water in a grass mat. Made the cast and he sank down, I thought he was gone, but to my surprise he made a massive blowup on my frog and it was game on!

These baby snakeheads, known as a fry ball, are protected by both parents. But hungry bluegill never stop looking for an opportunity, darting in to sn**ch any fry that drifts too far from the group.
It's a constant battle, and in the wild, not every baby makes it.
Nature can be beautiful... and brutal at the same time.
