October is LGBTQ+ History Month! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ The rights we have, the spaces we celebrate in, and the doors that have been opened all started with someone brave enough to lead the way...

This month, we honor the pioneers who lived out loud, fought back, and refused to be erased. Their courage didn’t just make history. It made room for all of us...Follow along as we spotlight people and places that have defined our history and continue to shape our future.

Who’s the LGBTQ+ icon that inspires you the most? Tell us in the comments. Happy LGBTQ+ History Month! 🌈

Today, September 23rd is Bis*xual Visibility Day... 💗💜💙

The flag has meaning behind every color. Pink is attraction to the same s*x. Blue is attraction to a different s*x. Purple is where they meet.

This community is often written as bi+, and that plus matters, it makes room for pans*xual, fluid, and q***r folks who belong here too. Bi+ identity doesn’t need to be proven, explained, or double-checked. It just is...

This Bis*xual+ Visibility Day, and every day after it: your attraction is valid, however you choose to name it. All multis*xual labels deserve acceptance and support.

If you or someone you know is in need of support, check out: Bis*xual Resource Center

Did you know Bis*xual Awareness Week is a relatively new tradition?

It started in 2014, when GLAAD and BiNet USA came together to expand something that already had deep roots. That original observance is Celebrate Bis*xuality Day, first observed in 1999 thanks to bis*xual rights activists Wendy Curry, Michael Page, and Gigi Raven Wilbur.

From September 16th through 23rd, this week honors bis*xual voices, celebrates resilience, and confronts erasure head-on. Because awareness isn’t passive. It’s showing up with compassion, visibility, and support for the whole LGBTQ+ spectrum.

Bi+ people make up roughly 40% of the LGBTQ+ community, according to a 2013 Pew Research survey, the largest group under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. This week is about making sure that’s reflected in how the community shows up for each other.

As we mark this week, the community celebrates how far it’s come, while staying committed to the work still ahead. 💖💜💙
