📌 My top tips for baking picture-perfect cookies:

1. Use a Cookie Scoop - I always use a cookie scoop so that my balls of cookie dough are equally sized. This helps them to bake evenly, and their uniform size makes them perfect for stacking.

2. Swirl Cookies Inside a Round Cookie Cutter - Immediately after pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven, I swirl a round metal cookie cutter around each cookie to rein in any misshapen edges.

I learned this “cookie-scooting” tip from Erin Erin Clarkson years ago, and it’s such a game changer!

3. Add Extra Mix-Ins On Top - Most of the mix-ins (like chocolate chips) will end up inside the cookie, so I press a few extra on top right after baking and swirling the cookies, when they’re still hot and soft. A sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top adds a beautiful touch, too!
