Sometimes, it’s what’s *not* on the menu that’s most exciting. Take this recent special from Gabi Restaurant: roasted quail with foie gras stuffing, vadouvan carrot puree, and cherry jus. We love seeing chefs flex their creativity, and the fact that it’s here-one-day, gone-the-next just makes it even more special and delicious. What’s the best you’ve enjoyed recently?

Tonight is a good night for these crunchy, salty stuffed olives. Because we may not be able to fly to Italy for the night, but we can get an authentic taste right on East Passyunk. And they’re open for dinner, indoors and out, 7 nights a week.

Is it still technically rosé season? Asking for a friend. (We don’t care what season it is; if there are seats in the Biergarten at La Peg, we are putting our butts in them and drinking rosé.)

Beets, but make it gnocchi. The geniuses at Bistrot La Minette don’t mess around with their vegetarian options. While some spots just toss together a salad, these guys are plating gems like this one: every inch as composed and thoughtful as the rest of the menu. Tag a vegetarian friend who needs this place in their life.
