Last evening, C Platoon at our Bryn Athyn Station had the opportunity to give FF/Paramedic Kerri Stewart a heartfelt send-off as she prepares for her return to Arizona with her husband.

Kerri has been a valued member of our full-time staff and an integral part of C Platoon. Originally from our area, she previously served with the Tucson Fire Department before returning home and joining the Fetters Mill Fire Rescue family. During her time with FMFR, Kerri brought professionalism, compassion, and dedication to every patient, every call, and every shift.

As circumstances now take her back to Arizona, Kerri will once again be serving the citizens of Tucson with the Tucson Fire Department. While we are sad to see her leave, we are incredibly grateful for the impact she has had on our organization, her coworkers, and the community we serve.

Last nightโ€™s send-off was a reflection of the respect and appreciation that her C Platoon family has for her. They shared stories, laughs, and well wishes as we thanked Kerri for her service and friendship.

Please join us in wishing FF/Paramedic Kerri Stewart and her husband safe travels and the very best in this next chapter. Kerri, thank you for everything you have done for Fetters Mill Fire Rescue. You will be missed, and you will always be part of the FMFR family.

Best of luck in Arizona, and welcome back to Tucson Fire Department! ๐Ÿš’โค๏ธ

This past weekend, two members of our Bryn Athyn station continued their commitment to professional development at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

๐Ÿš’ A Platoon's Lt. Ruddell attended Strategy and Tactics for Company Officers, enhancing the skills needed to make sound tactical decisions and lead firefighters safely and effectively on the fireground.

๐Ÿš’ B Platoon's Lt. McGuire completed Exercising Leadership Through Difficult Conversations, a course focused on building stronger leaders through effective communication, conflict resolution, and accountability.

At Fetters Mill Fire Rescue, we believe that learning never stops. Investing in advanced training ensures our officers are equipped with the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to serve our firefighters and provide the highest level of service to the communities of Lower Moreland Township and Bryn Athyn.

Please join us in congratulating Lt. Ruddell and Lt. McGuire on successfully completing these prestigious National Fire Academy courses!

๐Ÿ’™ Thank You, Community! ๐Ÿ’™

Over the past week, our community came together in an incredible way to support the emergency responders who serve our region.

Thanks to the generosity of our residents, businesses, and supporters, the First Responders Community Trailer collected approximately 162 cases of water and sports drinks. Every single donation, whether it was one case or a pallet made a difference, and we are truly grateful.

A special thank you goes to Zenon for bringing the First Responders Community Trailer to our Bryn Athyn station and making this effort possible. Before heading to the trailer's next stop in Hatboro, Zenon even used the Venmo donations to purchase four additional cases of Gatorade, ensuring even more refreshments will be available for our first responders.

Your generosity will directly benefit the firefighters, EMS providers, and police officers who work tirelessly to protect our communities, especially during the demanding summer months.

From everyone at Fetters Mill Fire Rescue, thank you for standing behind those who stand ready to serve you every day.

Please join us in wishing Zenon and the First Responders Community Trailer continued success as it heads to Hatboro! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿ’™

โ›ˆ๏ธ SEVERE WEATHER ALERT | Be Prepared Today โ›ˆ๏ธ

The National Weather Service is forecasting the potential for dangerous weather across our area today, including severe thunderstorms, damaging winds, torrential rainfall, flash flooding, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes. A Flood Watch is in effect beginning this morning and continuing into tonight.

๐ŸŒง๏ธ Please take a few moments to prepare and stay weather aware:

โš ๏ธ Never drive through flooded roadways.
Turn Around, Don't Drown. Just a few inches of moving water can sweep away a vehicle.

โšก Stay away from downed power lines.
Always assume they are energized and immediately report them to 911 or your utility provider.

๐Ÿ  Never operate a generator inside your home, garage, basement, or any enclosed structure, or near doors, windows, or vents. Generator exhaust contains deadly carbon monoxide that can quickly accumulate inside a building.

๐ŸŒช๏ธ If a Severe Thunderstorm Warning or Tornado Warning is issued, seek shelter immediately in the lowest level of a sturdy building, away from windows.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Monitor trusted weather sources throughout the day, enable emergency alerts on your phone, and have multiple ways to receive warnings.

๐Ÿš’ While we hope we aren't needed today, our members are prepared. Personnel at both our Huntingdon Valley Station and Bryn Athyn Station are ready to respond should our community need us.

Stay safe, stay informed, and look out for your neighbors.
