Uncommon Ground Collective

I empower parents and teens to embrace their uniqueness, turn it into strength, and step boldly onto Uncommon Ground. I created Uncommon Ground Collective because I know what it feels like to be the black sheep. To grow up feeling out of place, to be bullied, and to be ashamed of what made me different. As a kid, I moved from school to school, thinking a fresh start would fix everything, but I eventually realized I wasn’t running from other people — I was running from myself. I didn’t need to change who I was. I needed to learn to stand in it with confidence. I was raised in an Asian Indian home where success meant status, money, and reputation. My parents, like many immigrant parents, wanted the best for me, but their definition of “best” didn’t match what was in my heart. I wasn’t the math or science prodigy they hoped for. I was the writer, the dreamer, the one who wanted to understand people. For years, I tried to fit in until I finally understood that what made me different was exactly what God wanted to use. Through every hardship and detour, I found peace and identity through Christ. He helped me see that even the pain had purpose. That’s where Uncommon Ground Collective was born — a space for those who never felt like they belonged to finally find home, rooted in faith and authenticity.

Here, you’ll find encouragement, faith-based insights, and practical tools to help both parents and youth grow together. In the future, I’ll be sharing digital resources, a podcast, and my first book — my story of learning to stop running, to look forward, and to find peace in who God created us to be. If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, out of place, or like your path didn’t fit the norm, welcome home. Because being uncommon isn’t something to hide. It’s something to honor. ✨
