My son-in-law and I recently had a deep convo about the last time we realized we were wrong or made a mistake. We also discussed how acknowledging when we’re wrong or make a mistake compels a humble posture of learning. If as individuals…

…we avoid acknowledging wrongs / mistakes, we are arrogant, as well as prone to mindlessly repeat harm because we haven’t learned any better. Due to centuries of indoctrinated prejudices via perverse weaponizations of arts, religion, sciences, governance, and identity by institutions to dehumanize all by deifying a few to demonize many, admitting wrong / mistakes feels dangerous. How can we truly be better than history without whole truthfulness of wrongs / mistakes?
