P.S. I’m never nervous, but prior to this track we had been working on some of the heavier Yokai songs, cycling through ideas and so the mood switch and tempo caught me slippin just a lil bit so I had to ponder. Meanwhile Adam straight COOKED this jawn and laid his vocals down so elegantly I was like ayyoo 何？！
I HAVE to get this one done now😅

Finally I get a singy idea and though I enjoy singing I never really propose to do that on our songs cus it was just something Adam excelled at so if it ain’t broke don’t fix it ya know? However, I showed Adam the idea just one on one outside

His face lit up! He was like YOO naw naw mfka you need to sing this absolutely wtf you talkin bout, it’s heat!!! Then he continued to encourage me as I did my pieces and I even ended up dub’n some of his goals on the chorus too because of it!

Simple story, but what I’m sayin is it’s the little moments that make the bigger journey and the company you keep! Adam was so excited about being a father, having a family, performing at the highest level and just pushing himself to be his best! This songs captures that contagious energy and essence of his spirit no doubt! He wanted for people to believe in theirselves and LIVE their best… I know I’ll never be the same and I hope his message reaches you too👑
