What exactly is adiaphora?

Dr. Kent Burreson defines it simply: matters that Christ has neither commanded nor forbidden.

That means some things in worship are essential because Scripture commands them, while others fall under Christian freedom.

Too many churches are exhausted just trying to survive.

What if the answer is not doing more alone, but finding ways to work together?

Different churches can look different, worship differently, and reach different people. But we can still choose partnership over competition and become bridge builders instead of wall builders.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we want to start by simply saying…

THANK YOU ❤️

Thank you for answering the call.
Thank you for preaching the Word.
Thank you for praying, leading, encouraging, serving, and showing up—often in ways no one else ever sees.

Pastors, your faithful leadership matters, and this month, we’re excited to celebrate YOU.

And let’s just say… we may have something special planned. 👀🎁

Stay tuned. The celebration is just getting started!

If 3,000 people could be added to the church in Acts, why should we stop believing God can still move like that today?

Numbers matter because people matter.

This is not about chasing attendance. It is about reaching people, strengthening the Kingdom, and helping more people encounter Jesus.

”No heresy” is not a high enough standard for choosing worship music.

Just as parents want meals that truly nourish their families—churches must select songs that spiritually feed their congregations.

Every song is teaching us something. What do our worship songs reveal about God, Jesus Christ, and the Christian life? After singing them for ten years, will our children understand what they believe—and why?

Our worship music shouldn’t merely be theologically safe. It should be biblically rich, spiritually nourishing, and worthy of shaping the faith of future generations. 🎶🙏

What is one of the biggest mistakes contemporary and traditional Lutheran churches can make?

Choosing a side so firmly that we lose sight of why we worship.

Kip Fox and Steve Zank explore the sacred tension between freedom and unity—honoring the Church’s rich, time-tested traditions while allowing thoughtful creativity to serve each unique ministry context.

Freedom in worship matters—but freedom without faithful purpose can quickly become a trap. 🎧🙏

We dropped off our oldest at Grand Canyon University last month. To say it still hasn’t sunk in is an understatement. We are so crazy proud of him, but also are counting the days until he comes home for his first visit. (15!) May God bless all the college students this year!
