THESE ARE THE FACTS.
Suri was adopted out of state and returned in LESS THAN A WEEK. Mo flew to Seattle on the rescue’s dime to bring her home.
So we’re going to say this one louder for the people in the back: DECOMPRESS YOUR RESCUE DOG. Especially after transport.
They just left everything they know. They traveled. They landed in a completely unfamiliar house with unfamiliar people, smells, sounds, routines, kids and animals. Give. Them. Time.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming because our girl has found her bearings again…
SURI IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
17 lbs of sweet, loving SASS ASS. She loves doing hood rat s**t with her hood rat Grenchie friends, cuddling with her people, playing, being loved on and basically living her best little Frenchie life.
Suri would LOVE a Frenchie friend who wants to play and match her energy.
This time around, we are requiring children 10+ only.
And before anyone asks—YES, Suri was kid tested before she was ever placed in a home with children. She did well. But meeting children in a controlled environment and being dropped into an entirely new home after transport are two very different things.
You may think your 3- or 5-year-old knows how to behave around dogs—and they may be wonderful with the family dog they already know. But a newly adopted rescue dog doesn’t know your children, your home, your routines or what is expected of her yet. Small children also cannot fully understand a new dog’s boundaries or subtle signals every single time.
We’re not taking that chance with Suri again.
Give rescue dogs SPACE. Give them TIME. Give them a chance to understand that they are finally home.
Suri is ready to try again—with the right family this time.
We DO adopt out of state, but proper decompression after transport is a MUST.

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kimberly because I don’t think most people truly realize how much she does for the rescue community. 💜
If it weren’t for her genius content, her creativity, and the absolutely stunning photos she takes, so many of our dogs—and so many other rescue dogs throughout the Phoenix area—wouldn’t get the visibility they deserve. 🥹
Kimberly works tirelessly for the DOGS. Not for recognition. Not for praise. For the dogs. And someone like that should never be taken for granted. She deserves to be reminded just how talented, valuable, and freaking amazing she is.
She lifts people up when they’re struggling. Her studio is basically a rescue dog’s dream playground. Kimberly knows how to bring them out of their scared nervous moments and get that perfect shot. It’s like they have known her for years. She has taught me so much—not only about photography and content, but about training, understanding dogs, patience, and honestly, love in general. ✨
Rescue is hard enough on its own. It can drain you mentally, emotionally, and physically, but somehow Kimberly always finds a way to make it a little better, a little more fun, and a lot more beautiful. 🙌🏻
No one does it like Kimberly does.

OUR COMMUNITY AZ — WE NEED YOU.
Animal rescue is in a crisis right now, and we are feeling it every single day.
The overbreeding is out of control. Shelters are overflowing. Dogs are being surrendered faster than rescues can find places for them, and the condition some of these babies are arriving in is heartbreaking—skin infections, untreated injuries, neglected medical conditions, overbred bodies, fear, pain and dogs who simply haven’t known what it feels like to be properly cared for.
And they just keep coming.
The babies you see here are safe, but they are only in temporary foster homes. They need permanent foster placement so those temporary spaces can open again for the next emergency.
This is where we need our community.
You don’t have to run a rescue to help change what is happening. Opening your home to ONE dog matters. That one foster home creates another open space. That open space can mean saying YES when a shelter calls us about a dog who has nowhere else to go.
We cannot fix the overbreeding crisis overnight. We cannot save every dog. But with a community standing behind us, we can keep fighting for the ones we can save.
