The Mission continues. Laptops 4 Learning's Board of Directors, on behalf of the students who will directly benefit, sincerely thank the members of the Rotary Club of Scottsdale-North for the financial donation provided in support of our ongoing mission. This funding will help L4L continue to provide K-12 grade level students in Arizona who otherwise cannot afford to purchase a device, with a laptop of their own, helping close the digital divide for students in underserved communities.

We are dedicated to ensuring that a student's ability to learn is not limited by their ability to purchase a computer.

A huge congratulations is in order! Violinist Brianna Cole began her musical training at a small community arts center at age five, practicing up to six hours every single day throughout her youth. Yesterday evening, she officially made her debut leading the entire string section of the historic city symphony orchestra during a sold-out opening night performance. Less than two percent of professional orchestral musicians nationwide are Black, making her appointment to the highest leadership rank on stage an extraordinary milestone. Thunderbirds Charities supports the "Laptops 4 Youth" initiative of
LAPTOPS 4 LEARNING...

The mission continues... The Thunderbirds Charities Grant will help fund L4L's Laptops 4 Youth project, which provides laptops to youth in grade levels K thru 12 who are enrolled in Title-1 schools across Arizona and demonstrate financial need as determined by school administrators or Laptops 4 Learning's Application for Financial Assistance.

Convenient access to computers has long been linked to positive academic outcomes. An unfortunate consequence of the digital divide is the measurable inequities that exists for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who lack the technology tools required for educational success.

Leveraging donated funds, Laptops 4 Learning purchases laptops in bulk, at a discounted rate from Microsoft-certified IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) vendors. These computers are then made available to students and families on a sliding scale (10% to 90% of the laptop list price based on financial need).
