What Is Peripheral Neuropathy? Understanding Nerve Pain
Peripheral neuropathy is a condition that occurs when nerves outside the brain and spinal cord become damaged, often affecting the hands, feet, arms, or legs.
When these nerves are affected, patients may experience symptoms such as:
• Numbness or tingling
• Burning or sharp pain
• Increased sensitivity to touch
• Weakness or balance problems
Peripheral neuropathy can have many causes, including diabetes, injuries, infections, certain medications, and other underlying conditions.
At US Pain, understanding the source of nerve pain is the first step toward creating a personalized treatment plan that helps patients manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Acute vs. Chronic Pain: What’s the Difference?
Not all pain is the same.
Acute pain is your body’s short-term response to an injury, surgery, or sudden condition. It often improves as the body heals.
Chronic pain is different. It can continue for months or longer and may require a deeper understanding of the underlying cause and the right treatment approach.
Knowing the difference is the first step toward getting the care you need.
At US Pain Care, our physicians help patients understand their pain and explore evidence-based options to improve function and quality of life.

What Are PRP Injections? A Regenerative Approach to Pain Management
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections use a patient’s own concentrated platelets to support the body’s natural healing process.
In pain management, PRP therapy is used to help address certain tendon, ligament, joint, and soft tissue conditions by delivering growth factors that may support tissue repair and reduce discomfort.
PRP is one of the many treatment options physicians consider when creating personalized care plans for patients experiencing chronic pain.
At US Pain, we believe effective pain management starts with understanding every available option and choosing the right approach for each patient.

"An exceptional clinician listens carefully to what the patient is saying, but a masterful clinician hears exactly what they are unable to say."
At US Pain Care, we believe every patient deserves to be heard, understood, and treated with compassion. Because behind every symptom is a person with a story worth listening to.
