Bobby Pierce on his impressive 20th to 1st run in the $75,000 to-win Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series:

"I think Kevin Kovac was talking to me yesterday. He asked me if we were going to repeat what we did last year. I kinda sucked on the prelim nights and ended up winning on Saturday and I said, 'Man, we were off. I don't see that happening at all.' It rained. That definitely does-. They give us a different race track every night so it keeps us guessing. You can never run the setup it seems like. It adds character to the race track where the holes are. And the holes are never in the same spot. Luckily, the way the track was, the car was great too.

My guys worked their butts off this weekend. Every single time I was in the pits we were changing something. Throwing the kitchen sink at it as understatement for sure. Just thanks to my Dad, Justin, Darien, Briley, my Mom and Abby selling t-shirts up there. And just everyone's support.

Casey Schuman for the race track. I was really excited to see what 3 and 4 would do. I was pretty pessimistic. I told a lot of fans back there, "I was like, man, I don't see it getting up there. I think it's too flat, but we'll see.' And it got up there.

When asked if he was concerned about running the top line and getting into the wall, he said, "I was. A couple times I felt the wheel hit the wall. I would kinda push. It started getting a little rut in 3 and I'd push in that rut. Sometimes it actually helped me 'cause it would push the car up on top of the cushion and I'd get a better run off the corner. But a couple of times I did that, I felt the rim hit the wall, and I was pretty worried about it, for sure, but these American Racing wheels are tough. They held on good. Everything on this car. I was bouncing through a couple holes. It really wasn't bad, it was just where the holes were I was making my speed so I was trying to hit them.

What an awesome race track, again. I got to thank my sponsors real quick without their support we can't do it. ... Special, I guess you could call it, a sponsor on spoiler this weekend is "Sending It For Stormin' Norman Harris." There's a lovely lady, she wanted that on the car for this weekend. Norman was her father. I'm not sure when he passed away, but this was an awesome memorial for him. ...

On tying Billy Moyer and Wendell Wallace for three Show-Me 100 wins, Pierce said, "That's awesome. I remember when I was first getting started in late models and supers, Jimmy Owens, he was the guy to beat here and Scott [Bloomquist], of course. They were both super fast. I feel like in that 2010 range Jimmy Owens was dominating. I mean Scott, of course too, like I said, he was always dominating. Just an incredible group of guys. And they're both from Tennessee and this track is a mixture of Tennessee and Illinois. The middle you gotta drive live Tennessee. The top you gotta drive like Illinois. Just awesome to be part of that list and to come back and repeat this thing. This is the reason we came here.

I think we're the only Outlaw guy to show up. We had a tough weekend last week, we got a tough week ahead of us. We really needed to get home today so we could work on a new car, but came to defend our title and it worked out!"

That's a wrap on the 2025 Gateway Dirt Nationals and we couldn't be more PUMPED about the results. After the checkered flag fell on Saturday night the podium was filled with American Racing Pro Series Wheels. Bobby, Ricky, Brandon, and Jason all put their wheels to the test and came out on top. Over 130 entries into the event and American Racing Pro Series equipped cars won BOTH preliminaries and the big show on Saturday.

Gateway Dirt Nationals night two completed and this time it was Ricky Thornton Jr Racing bringing home the hardware!
