At TheraBunch, we see summer as more than just a break—it’s a chance to continue building skills in real-life, meaningful ways.
Here are a few simple ways to support your child’s development this summer:
• Incorporate play-based learning into daily routines
• Practice life skills like dressing, meal prep, and organization
• Get outside—movement supports sensory regulation and focus
• Maintain some level of routine to support transitions
Small, consistent moments can make a big impact.
If your child could benefit from continued support this summer, we’re here to help 🤍

At TheraBunch, we believe inclusion doesn’t have an age limit.
Easter is often centered around children, but for many individuals with disabilities across the lifespan, traditional celebrations can feel overwhelming, inaccessible, or isolating.
With thoughtful planning, we can create experiences that are meaningful for both children and adults.
✨ Consider:
• Sensory-friendly environments (reduced noise, predictable structure)
• Adaptive activities for all ability levels
• Accessible community events and spaces
• Flexible participation—honoring individual needs and preferences
• Opportunities for social connection that feel safe and supportive
Whether it’s a child experiencing their first egg hunt or an adult wanting to engage in community traditions, inclusion means everyone has a place to belong.
This Easter, let’s move beyond tradition and create spaces where individuals of all ages feel seen, supported, and celebrated. 💛

As we gather with family, friends, and colleagues this season, one of the simplest ways to show care and inclusion is by being mindful of everyone’s dietary needs and restrictions.
For many, this time of year brings excitement but also anxiety around food allergies, sensitivities, and limited options. A few small adjustments can make a big difference:
🍽️ Ask ahead. A quick check-in helps you plan inclusive meals for everyone.
🥗 Label dishes clearly. Transparency builds comfort and confidence for those with allergies or dietary restrictions.
🌾 Offer alternatives. Gluten-free, dairy-free, or nut-free swaps keep everyone included.
💬 Avoid assumptions. Open communication fosters understanding and belonging.
At TheraBunch, we believe inclusion extends beyond therapy sessions. It shows up in everyday moments of care and community. Let’s make sure every guest can enjoy the holiday table safely and joyfully!
✨ Reach Your Potential and make space for everyone to do the same.

When routines shift, our nervous systems feel it. Here are simple ways to stay regulated during Thanksgiving break:
🍂Keep a morning anchor (same wake-up, same breakfast)
🍂Build in movement breaks every 2–3 hours
Use visuals so kids know what’s next
🍂Quiet corner ready: books, headphones, fidgets
🍂Deep breathing before transitions
🍂Offer choices when everything feels overwhelming
From your TheraBunch team — helping families reach their potential even during the holidays 🧡

🇺🇸 Honoring Veterans Day: Meaningful Activities for All Ages
Here are thoughtful, engaging ways families, teams, and communities can honor and thank our veterans today:
✅ Write Thank-You Cards
Create handwritten cards or drawings and send them to VA hospitals, veteran centers, or deployed service members.
✅ Assemble Care Packages
Include practical items such as toiletries, socks, snacks, and a note of appreciation. Donate via Operation Gratitude or a local organization.
✅ “Flags of Gratitude” Craft
Kids and adults decorate paper flags or stars and write a message of gratitude to veterans.
✅ Walk of Honor
Take a walk through your neighborhood, school, or clinic and place small flags along the route.
✅ Interview a Veteran
Invite a veteran to share their experiences. Guiding questions:
• “What was your role?”
• “What motivated you during service?”
• “What do you want future generations to understand about service?”
✅ Red, White & Blue Sensory Activity
Create a sensory bin with patriotic colors, stars, textures, and small flags—excellent for inclusive engagement.
✅ Poppy Craft & Discussion
Make red poppies and talk about their significance as a symbol of remembrance.
✅ Gratitude Chain
Write notes of appreciation on paper strips and link them together to create a meaningful visual display.
Today, we honor the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of all who have served.
Thank you, Veterans. 🇺🇸

Halloween may be over, but the candy bowl is still overflowing! Instead of letting it go to waste (or eating it all before breakfast 😅), here are a few fun and meaningful ways to repurpose it:
🍫 Create a Candy Sorting Activity – Great for fine motor skills, sensory play, and color recognition!
🎨 DIY Candy Crafts – Use wrappers or pieces for art projects in classrooms or therapy sessions.
💌 Sweeten Someone’s Day – Drop off wrapped candy at a local shelter, fire station, or teacher’s lounge.
📦 Freeze for Rewards – Save for therapy incentives, treasure boxes, or future celebrations.
At TheraBunch, we love finding small, creative ways to build connection, practice skills, and sprinkle a little joy—one treat at a time. 💛

🎃 Halloween should be fun and welcoming for every family. Here are quick tips to make your celebration more inclusive this year:
🏡 Planning & Environment
• Review your route or space for mobility access
• Create a social story or visual schedule
• Go early evening or choose a quieter neighborhood
• Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes
• Set up a quiet zone for sensory breaks
• Offer non-food treats (stickers, glow sticks, toys)
👗 Costume & Mobility Supports
• Pick comfortable, non-itchy fabrics
• Decorate mobility devices to match the costume
• Use communication cards if a child is non-verbal
• Pack essentials (sensory toy, water, meds)
• Ensure secure, easy-to-move footwear
🎧 Sensory & Treats
• Bring ear protection for noisy areas
• Choose calmer houses/stops when trick-or-treating
• Use non-food treat options
• Prep kids on what to expect beforehand
• Plan a calming activity afterward
🔦 Safety & Inclusion
• Add lights or reflectors to mobility devices
• Carry a phone and set a meeting point
• Use the buddy system
• Capture fun memories with photos
• Debrief as a family after to celebrate wins
🧡 At TheraBunch, we believe every child deserves to feel included. Save and share this checklist to help spread inclusive Halloween fun!
As days grow shorter in October and we lose daylight, both children and adults feel the impact in surprising ways!
Children:
• 💤 Sleep disruptions — earlier sunsets confuse bedtime routines
• 😣 Behavior changes — irritability, crankiness, or hyperactivity
• 🚲 Less outdoor play — reduced daylight means fewer chances for exercise & fresh air
Adults:
• 😔 Mood shifts — lower energy and the start of seasonal “blues” (SAD symptoms)
• ⏰ Productivity dips — commuting in the dark = feeling less motivated
• 💤 Sleep changes — earlier drowsiness but restless nights
• 🦠 Weaker immunity — less vitamin D + stress can make illness more likely
What Helps Everyone:
• 🌞 Maximize morning light — step outside early in the day
• ⏳ Keep a steady routine — same bed/wake times help regulate rhythms
• 🏃 Stay active — exercise lifts mood and improves sleep
• 💡 Light therapy lamps — can reduce seasonal mood changes
• 🍳 Vitamin D support — diet, supplements, or safe sun exposure
Bottom line:
Shorter days = big changes for our minds and bodies. With the right routines and extra light, you can keep energy, sleep, and mood steady all season long.
