A diesel ECU taking things little too literal.
This is a common issue on B37 and B47 engines where the fuel temperature and pressure sensor leaks and sends diesel all the way along the loom into the ECU. You might see strange codes and issues turn up. Diesel gets inside of the ECU next, and one of the characteristic faults is for an internal ambient pressure sensor reading wrong.
Luckily, there's always a solution. If caught early enough, they can be cloned which is fairly quick and easy. Even if the ECU is ruined, we can still pair a new ECU to your car too.

Just back from Thruxton with the 116i Sprint, 120i Coupe cup, and 116i Trophy.
The layout makes it the fastest track in the UK, and one unfamiliar to a lot of our drivers. The 120i Coupe cup dominated by Matt Highcock with podium regulars George Heler and Rob Carvell following up in both races. The 116i Sprint Race 1 had changes with Luke Fox coming in First, and series heavyweights Will Abraham and Peter Keen taking 2nd and 3rd. The second 116i Sprint won by Will Abraham, Luke Fox in second cementing his name as one to watch out for and newcomer Scott Jeffs in 3rd.
Sunday's Trophy endurance race broke new ground as it was a genuine concern that fuel levels might pose an issue and we could have 40 cars running out dotted around a huge track. This had a massive change in the dynamic with a real need for forward planning and pacing so save fuel, but at the same time, you still have to progress and fight for position. Some reports of cars down to under 2/3rd's of a tank at the 30min mark put pressure on the teams of the very real risk of not going the distance.
Paul Offord held the fastest lap for 90% of the race with the last 20mins being the make or break moment when drivers then brought their A game and could use fuel saved earlier to push for position. A surprise 11th hour entry from Matt Highcock as a guest driver in James Poole's 40Forty's car 78 fought his way into a 5th place finish on the last lap although penalties pushed the car back down the grid when the numbers were crunched.
The main body of the race was dominated by Ethan Hall and James Wareing displaying a perfect balance of pace and tactics over the 122miles covered although issues with the 228 car resulted in a losing pace and a retirement in the last 15mins.
The race finished with a well-earned win for Ethan Hall, a tag team of Saturday's Sprint Podium placers Will Abraham and Scott Jeffs, and rounded off with James Dunne in third.
Certainly one of the races that will go down in Trophy history, with a big thank you to our hosts, BARC Thruxton, Organisers and 750MC, and all the teams and drivers that made it happen.
