ANCHOR: Building Safety Within

What if healing didn’t begin with changing who you are but with learning how to feel safe being who you are?

ANCHOR is a 9-week trauma-informed experience designed to help you understand how past experiences may still shape the way you respond to stress, relationships, emotions, and everyday life.

Through education, reflection, practical tools, and supportive connection, you’ll explore your nervous system, recognize triggers and patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and begin building a greater sense of safety within yourself.

ANCHOR is not about fixing what is “wrong.” It is about understanding what happened, honoring how you learned to survive, and discovering new ways to respond.

Come as you are. Leave with a deeper understanding of yourself and tools to help you move forward.

Join Walters Wellness Group beginning October 6, 2026, as we begin with ANCHOR, the first module of our yearlong trauma program, Bridges to Belonging.

Building safety. Understanding patterns. Creating new possibilities.

Rest is part of returning to yourself.

When we slow down, we give our nervous system an opportunity to settle, reset, and reconnect. Rest doesn't always mean sleep; it can be quiet, movement, creativity, deep breathing, laughter, stillness, or simply stepping away from the demands of the day.

As we continue our September theme, RETURN: Come Back to Yourself, take a moment to ask: What kind of rest does my mind and body need right now?

If you're looking for an intentional space to slow down and reconnect, join us each month:
Second Fridays: Sound Bath- provides an opportunity to pause, settle, and simply be.
Third and Fifth Fridays: SIP. PAINT. CENTER- An opportunity to create, connect, and experience rest through play.

Because sometimes returning to yourself looks like stillness and sometimes it looks like joy.

A Seasonal Check-In for and to alll!

With the cooling of the weather comes a natural shift in our routines. It can also be a good time for a little internal check-in: a daily inspection, weekly reflection, and quarterly audit of self.
What am I noticing?

What needs my attention?

And are the routines and spaces that feel comfortable still serving me?

When life feels chaotic, or simply seems to be moving too fast, intentionality becomes even more important. Sometimes that means creating spaces of warmth, rest, and compassion for ourselves.

Let’s check in today: If your inner voice could wrap you in the warmth of a cozy blanket right now, what gentle reminder would it give you?

Share your reminder or simply leave your favorite comfort emoji below. Your reminder may be exactly what someone else needs to hear today.

We've practiced: PAUSE. BREATHE. GROUND. NOTICE.
Today, we RECONNECT.

Reconnect, , with yourself through rest, grounding, mindfulness, movement, play, and compassionate conversations with yourself.

Then ask yourself: What helps me feel most like myself?
Coming home to yourself doesn't happen all at once. Sometimes, it begins with one intentional moment.

Thank you for journeying with us this week. 🤍

Pause. Breathe. Ground. Notice. Reconnect.

Which of these 5 practices did your soul need the most this week?

Let us know below! 👇

Today, , we begin to go deeper. 🔎
Pause and NOTICE your body.

Where do you feel at ease?
Where are you holding tension?
What might your body be asking for?

You don't have to judge what you notice. Simply become curious.

Pause. Breathe. Ground. Notice.

Tell us one word that describes what you're noticing in your body right now. 👇

- We've practiced PAUSING and BREATHING. Today, let's GROUND.

Grounding helps bring our attention back to the present moment and can help settle the nervous system.
How do you ground yourself? Try one of my favorites- the somatosensory hug.

Pause. Breathe. Ground.

Watch this short video, https://tinyurl.com/Somahug and try it out right now and let us know in the comments: How did your body feel before vs. after? 👇

Our June Newsletter is here....

As we move through the year, I encourage each of us to be intentional about checking in with our mental and emotional well-being.

Mental health is influenced by many factors, including our environment, physical health, relationships, life experiences, and even patterns that may have been passed down through generations.

Understanding these influences can help us respond to ourselves and others with greater compassion and awareness.
