Cooking with Friends: Episode 4 is here!
This one’s special because it’s the first time I’ve had another chef in the kitchen with me. Chef Ken | Private Chef was actually one of the very first people to use my shared kitchen, so it felt right to finally get him in front of the camera with me.
I asked him to make his “I’m tired and just want something good” meal because, contrary to popular belief, chefs don’t come home and make a 10-course dinner every night.
Along the way we talk about his chili crisp obsession, why soy sauce isn’t just soy sauce, compare carrot-cutting techniques, and he spends a good amount of time trying to teach me how to use chopsticks properly. Also…watching someone cook entirely by feel without measuring anything stresses me out more than I’d like to admit.
Stick around until the end because his comfort meal comes together into something that’s honestly gorgeous. I might’ve learned a thing or two. 🍜

ICYMI, my pie class registration is officially live, and I let the people decide what we’re making.
You’ll have your choice between the strawberry basil pretzel pie or the roasted hazelnut chocolate tart.
We’ll spend the afternoon making pie, talking through the little things that make a big difference, and getting our hands into plenty of dough. Whether you’ve never made one before or you’ve been baking pies for years, you’ll leave with a few new tricks and your own pie to take home.
August 16 from 11–2 at Hilltop Shared Kitchen.
Registration is open now at chefalekka.com. under the EVENTS tab🥧
This bachelorette party skipped the bar crawl and went with a staycation pool party and homemade pasta instead, and honestly…I think they were onto something.
The bride wanted everyone to make dinner together, so we rolled out fresh pasta from scratch, laughed a lot, and ended the night eating three cheese ravioli with carbonara.
One of my favorite parts of these classes is that you get to make them your own. Pick ravioli or fettuccine, choose your sauce and filling, and we’ll make it happen.
If you’re planning a bachelorette party, birthday, girls’ night, or just need an excuse to get your favorite people around a table, you know where to find me. 🍝

A little peek of what’s been cooking lately 👀 👩🏻🍳

I don’t just make dinner.
I bake. A lot.
Scones, muffins, cakes, pies, things covered in butter, things covered in glaze… basically if it belongs on a cake stand or next to a good cup of coffee, I’m probably making it.
Baking was my first love, and somewhere along the way I forgot how much I missed it. I’m having a whole lot of fun getting back to it.
If you need baked goods or desserts for a shower, brunch, party, or you just want an excuse to eat a really good scone, you know where to find me.

51 five-star reviews….wow.
Every single one means someone trusted me with a birthday, a bachelorette party, a date night, a team event, or just a Tuesday when they wanted to learn how to cook.
I don’t take that lightly.
Thank you for inviting me into your kitchens, your homes, and your celebrations. I get to do what I love because of all of you. ❤️
Nothing will make you feel older quite like cooking dinner with someone whose diapers you used to change.
This young man I babysat is now married with two kids of his own, and he booked a custom cooking class for a date night and friends night out. We went from toddler snacks to knife skills, which feels rude, but here we are.
We made fig and goat cheese dip with bacon and roasted Brussels sprouts, grilled steak with peach salsa and cilantro lime rice, and grilled peaches with burrata and smoked sea salt.
These custom three-course classes are such a fun way to get your people together, learn a few things, and eat very well while you’re at it.

This was a first for me.
Three 25-year-old guys booked a knife skills class together, showed up ready to learn, and made a really good stir fry by the end of it.
We worked on slicing, dicing, and getting a little more comfortable with a chef’s knife without anyone losing a finger, which is always the goal.
They were fun, curious, and fully committed to the matching apron look.
More of this, please. 🔪
