A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, educator, and experienced basketball coach, Coach Whipple brings over 10 years of leadership and player development to RTS Prep. He’s passionate about using athletics to build strong leaders both on and off the court.

RTS Pittsburgh welcomes Coach Terry Weigand 🧙🏻‍♂️

Coach Weigand is fresh off a 25+ year career coaching at the Collegiate level - with the majority of his time being spent as an Assistant at the Division I level with Akron Zips Men's Basketball & Duquesne Basketball.

Terry also had a 4 year stint as a Head Coach at Ashland University - where he played his college ball. Ashland Men's Hoops

Coach Weigand coached RTS Co-Founder Steve McNees in college at the University of Akron. Those two then went on to spend 12 seasons coaching together at the Division I level. Both other RTS Co-Founders, Ty Neal & Allen Deep, also spent time on staff with Coach Weigand as well.

We are fired up and honored to bring his basketball expertise, family values and life wisdom to our Cranberry Twp. facility members.
