We are still here and open at our Waterfront studio. Things are a little different, but we're still having fun painting with you. Everyone must wear a mask the entire time they're in our studio. We're still BYOB but we don't allow any food at this time. There are a few ways to paint with us. In a class with instruction, in our walk in open studio or getting a "to go" kit to paint at home. In a class with instruction, everyone paints the same painting. One of our artists guides you through the painting, step by step in a 2 or 3 hour session. You go home with your own masterpiece! We provide the canvas, brushes, paint, a creative atmosphere and lots of encouragement. You bring a few friends, a bottle of w**e and be ready for a really fun experience. Check the calendar on our website for specific paintings and times. Classes daytime, evenings and weekends. We also offer a walk-in open studio Tuesday - Sunday. Tuesday -Thursday 11am till 5pm. No reservation needed. If you come with a larger group (3 or more) give us a call ahead of time so that we can set you up. We also have "to go" paint kits. Small & large size. Kits include a pre-sketched canvas, paints, brushes. Everything you'd need for an at home painting session. Call for details about private parties. Calling all Paint Monkeys - we're back! Friday, October 16 from 7-9pm.
We've missed painting with you, so we are popping up for a special night at City Winery Pittsburgh, in the strip at 1627 Smallman Street.
Your ticket includes the painting experience plus a glass of w**e - and best of all we'll be painting along with you. City Winery Pittsburgh also has great food and a menu of all sorts of things to enjoy while you're painting.

We come and paint every year at the Duquesne University freshman orientation. This was our 10th year! We had so much fun with this group - we painted “Pittsburgh Pierogi.” So many of them did their own thing. So many creative newbies. Hope they all have a great year and enjoy Pittsburgh.

It’s been a few weeks since we had our last day in our studio. We’ve taken a little time to catch our breath - there was so much to do to pack up nearly 15 years of memories. Wanted to post pics of all of our wonderful Paint Monkeys who came those last days to wish us well. It was a who’s who of our favorite people. We really felt the love.
Stay tuned for what’s next. We have some exciting things on the horizon.

Our very last Summer Art Camp at Paint Monkey ended today. Each of these girls are so creative and talented. Look closely at all the wonderful paintings (that they drew themselves) and projects. They’ve all been coming to Paint Monkey for years, so today was a little sad for them. Bittersweet for all of us. A great big thank you to our own Miss Jesse who inspired and did everything to encourage the kids. She got their creative juices going and got them on the path to creating their own art. A good habit to have!

This past week, we had a very successful Summer Art Camps lead by our own Miss Jesse. We had an all star line up of our long time Paint Monkey kids. There was painting, drawing and lots of special projects!

Paint Monkey memories. Joe & I feel very privileged that we’ve had some amazing people work for us over the years. This is an especially special memory when we brought everyone to a pottery studio in Millvale for our Christmas party. Creative people creating, laughing, eating pizza and having fun. I love them all, even though we don’t see everyone so much. This is a period of time (probably 2017 or 2018) Joe and I will always cherish.
