No one tells you how hard it will be to one day pack up your loved one’s home. To box up decades of childhood memories, family gatherings, and magical holidays.
My grandparents custom-built this home in the 1960s on the east side of Joliet. My grandmother designed it and thoughtfully curated so many of its beautiful pieces. It’s where my dad, who is no longer with us, grew up, where we spent Christmas after Christmas, and where my sister, cousins, and I made so many memories.
I’m grateful I got to experience this moment with my kids — aka The Parsonage team — and say one last goodbye.
So much of what I love about The Parsonage is that beautiful spaces hold stories. The pieces, the details, the history — they get to live on in a new chapter.
And I love that a little piece of my grandmother’s story will now live on through The Parsonage and the people who walk through our doors. 🤍

Getting to work in this beautiful space every day, meeting amazing people, watching them celebrate with their friends and family, and working alongside so many talented vendors has truly been a dream come true.
I’m so excited to see all the dreams and ideas we’ve been talking about come to life here. There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
