Matchstick Golf

It’s been 20 years to the day since I stepped onto campus at University of Oregon, and since then it feels like I’ve lived several different lifetimes. What’s been constant these past two decades is someone I met my first day living at Parsons Hall: my best friend, Kylan.

We’ve gone to countless Ducks games together, been roommates, gone camping, fishing, played pickup basketball (he’s going to Eurostep you, don’t fall for it), and gone through all of life’s changes through adulthood. I’ve watched him get married, become a father, give me two incredible godsons, and start Tater Tots Pediatric Therapy, a non-profit serving differently abled children as a pediatric speech therapist alongside his wife, Kayla.

It all started with our time together at Oregon, and getting to work with the university on projects for Matchstick is special not just because I’m an alum, but because it reminds me how lucky I am to have chanced into a lifelong friend because of it.

He’s gonna hate a post like this, but too bad. At least I didn’t post the photo of you dressed as Soulja Boy for Halloween. Here’s to The Troof! And the decades to come.

Hey guess what!

Time to start grinding XP, folks

Flight suit golf headcovers for Greg Manley. Love when I get to make incongruous designs and reconstruct elements from an existing garment like this. Gives each cover a unique character 🚁

The faces of those who support growing the game of golf. Throughout this year, we’ve received tons of donations shipped to the workshop to support Roosevelt High School’s Boys and Girls golf teams. Many have shown up in person, like these cats here. Whether it’s extra clubs they had, ones they sourced just for the Roosevelt High kids, or whether they came to donate product from their own brand, each visit has meant to much. We’re not done yet, but with your help, we’re so much closer. Thanks to each and every one of you who have helped kids learn to love the game here in North Portland. If you want to contribute, send me a message or hit the link to donate.
