Oh hi, I’m Mindy!

Celebrant. Writer. Story-weaver. Meaning-maker. Joy-fueler. Holder of sacred moments who happens to believe the sacred should be allowed to laugh.

I’m the human behind Acorn & Roots Ceremonies.

I create and officiate personalized wedding ceremonies for couples who want something honest, warm, inclusive, beautifully written, and unmistakably theirs.

Not canned, not stiff, not a stranger saying vaguely romantic things while everyone waits for the champers.

I listened for the good stuff:
The tenderness.
The humor.
The quirks.
The history
The inside jokes
The promises beneath the promise

The details you may not think belong in a ceremony, but absolutely do.

Then I shape those pieces into a ceremony with rhythm, heart, meaning, and enough levity to keep everyone’s knees soft. All delivered with reverence, warmth and style.

Before celebrancy, I spent 30 yrs in HR. Plot twist? Not really. More of a homecoming to what matters most: people stories, connection, and building community one couple at a time, with an open and curious heart running through it all.

I’ve always been drawn to transitions, complex feelings, and the moments when life asks us to pause and say: wait, hold up, this matters.

I’m also a Certified Integral Coach. I care about the whole human experience: head, heart, body, values, intuition, and the truth underneath polished answers.

Outside of ceremony-land, I’m usually with my wife, Tina, and our bebes, Zoë and Ziggë.

I love plants, the sound and movement of waves and rapids, good questions, heartfelt conversations, delicious eats, tiny signs from the Uni ✨ they’re everywhere ✨, and laughter that comes easy and arrives right on time.

I’m also the human behind Windshield Wisdoms, a passion project and global love movement. Like my coaching and ceremony work. it is rooted in kindness, connection, and community.
