I work in construction and am a top seller. We lost our Warehouse Manager, so I went into the office as a "team player" and offered to help.

Tuesday I helped unload a semi-filled with appliances. I manually unloaded 3 pallets of microwaves and range hoods and stacked them 10 feet high. I did receiving paperwork. I helped our team fill and dispose of 10 truckloads of cardboard and trash from a large job. We had over 100 pallets in the warehouse no one could get rid off. I not only got rid of those pallets - I sold them and made enough for the team to get pizza.

Yesterday, I stacked refrigerators with a "clamp" forklift.

Yep. I'm a team player. And there ain't nothing I can't do.

If I can do new things - and, trust me, this is not glamourous work - but every one in the warehouse looked at me differently. They could see I am not above anyone. I don't ask anyone to do work I would not do myself. I AM a team player.

This Thanksgiving I am grateful for so many things, but most of all those that have shown me kindness, love, acceptance, decency and love.
