A space as dynamic and energizing as the art and people inside it!
The Hop Lounge at our locations are designed to be a magical beginning and ending to the Hopscotch experience. The Portland Hop Lounge is featured above, brought to life (and light) by light wizard Todd Eagle Moyér.
It’s probably to coolest place in to grab a beverage and snack ⚡️
A grandmother, and a lot of practice and exploration, taught Ningshu a love for watercolor.
Her own take on traditional Chinese watercolor is hanging on the walls of Hopscotch Portland now, and we’ve been honored to host her artwork past several months.
Her work will leave the gallery walls in the next few weeks, so if you haven’t had a chance yet, go spend some time drinking it in. You are encouraged to look very closely, the brushwork is unreal! 👀

We like to throw around “Art you can taste.” When describing our snacks and beverage offerings in the Hop Lounge. Does this set bring that idea into focus a bit? 👀

Late August is when the calendars get serious again. Backpacks. Schedules. That back-to-school feeling, even for those of us who have not seen a classroom in years.
Here is your reminder that recess was the best part, and it does not have to end.
Before the fall swallows you whole, take an afternoon. Take the long way through every room. Be a little bit twelve again.
Never stop playing.

The good news about falling for our gallery: you can take a little of it home.
Almost everything in the Hop Shop was made by the same kind of hands that made the walls. Artists we work with, designing things you can actually keep. Not gift-shop filler. The real thing, shrunk down to something that fits in your bag... or on your wrist.
You came to look. Nobody said you had to leave empty-handed.

Somewhere between your first job and your last unread email, someone told you playing was for kids.
We disagree.
For 90 minutes, the rules go quiet. You push the buttons. You chase the light. You take the long way through every room because nobody is timing you and nobody is watching the clock but you.
Grown-ups need somewhere to play too. This is the somewhere.
