Clever Enough

RIP Christopher Durang. You gave so much to the world of theater and to the world as a whole. You are loved.

We regret to inform you that due to illness Clever Enough’s production of Pariah, or the Outcast and No Such Thing have been cancelled. We are of course saddened by this, but safety comes first. We hope to perhaps mount this production in the future so if we can make that happen, great! But in any case, we’ll be putting on a show as soon as possible. We’re sorry for any inconvenience, and if you have purchased a ticket, you will be receiving a refund by the end of the day February 16th. If you have further questions, feel free to send an email to [email protected]. Thank you.

ONE WEEKEND ONLY!
Folks, these are two powerful scripts and the event features a silent auction of high quality artwork by KylesGallery and Kristin Cole Photography. Come check it out! :)

Clever Enough presents Pariah, or the Outcast by August Strindberg and No Such Thing, by Douglas Hill. A staged reading of two powerful plays and a fundraising benefit for the company.
Featuring a silent auction, and a discussion of the proposed season.

Pariah, or the Outcast, by August Strindberg
Directed by Valerie Asbell
Two men in a farmhouse, with a storm raging outside. Both men have a criminal past and as a battle of wits ensues, the audience is left to decide which of these men are more evil.

No Such Thing, by Douglas Hill
Directed by Sarah Nolte
Steven has written an impressive essay that Alan wants to see published. The problem is, it would out Steven as gay, which he can’t allow to happen as it would also destroy his career. A heated discussion progresses and the two men clash on what is right… and what is fair.

Both plays star Steve Lee and Mike Jones.
