This was a really beautiful commission that I completed for a good friend of someone I love. Memorial pieces are really meaningful to me and I spend a lot of time making sure that the details of the face and paws are right.

Nipsey Hussle was an incredible rapper and phenomenal activist for gun control, police abolition, and educational equity in California. He was shot and killed outside his clothing store in 2019 at the age of 33. I’m a huge fan of his work and listened to his music while working on this pencil drawing for about 7 months. The original 14x14 completed pencil drawing was given as a well deserved gift, but I love spreading his energy everywhere I can, so I made it a sticker too ☺️
