GP NEMBA is on a mission to make the Greater Portland area one of the greatest places in the country to ride a mountain bike. Join us!

The Greater Portland Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association (GP NEMBA) promotes mountain biking, builds and cares for public trails, and helps protect open space. Our goal is to work with local land owners and managers to ensure that off road riding opportunities are plentiful, well maintained, and sustainable. In addition to hosting regular trail building events we run a couple of socials a year, random occasional events, and a ride series. If you're riding around here, you should be a member. Work is underway for the jump lines at Lavoie Bike Park. Max was building well past sunset.

The jumps are cool to check out but PLEASE stay clear of machines- operators may not see you. We'll keep you posted on progress.

Big thanks to Thirsty-Turf Irrigation, Inc. for their support on this project! If you'd like to support the project reach out or visit: https://gpnemba.org/donate/

Heads up- there's a XC running race at Narragansett school in Gorham on Sat 9/12 from 8-2. The connector trail to Hamblen; from Tannery trail head to Libby Ave will be closed during the race.

A good alternative is to access the trails from the North entrance. Park at the Little Falls Activity Center.

Exciting project is kicking off at the bike park in Gorham! We're rebuilding, improving, and expanding the jump lines. We're hiring a Pro builder; Max Southam w/ Mount Abram will take the wheel and help bring Lavoie Bike Park to world class status.

We owe a huge thanks to all the GPNEMBA volunteers that have put time and energy into the jumps, and we're grateful to have that ongoing support.

Work started today- the jumps are closed until further notice. We're targeting an early Oct open date.
