Live, work, or spend time in the Inner Eastside? Join City staff for causal drop-in events and learn more about the Inner Eastside Zoning Project. This project will change zoning in Portland’s Inner Eastside to allow for a greater diversity of housing in this desirable part of town.

Plans haven’t been drawn up yet. First, City staff want to hear what matters most to you. Come share your thoughts and priorities related to housing affordability, historic places, neighborhood retail and commercial locations, and where it makes sense to allow for more housing.

Tonight’s Meet the Director Candidates event for the Office of Community-based Police Accountability will take place at the Portland Building (1150 SW 5th Ave.). The event begins at 6 p.m. with an option to participate online.

Community members are invited to meet the four finalists for the Office of Community-Based Police Accountability’s first director, hear about their experience and vision for the new accountability office, ask questions, and share feedback with the Community Board for Police Accountability before they consider a final candidate.

Whether you are commuting in Portland or planning a trip through the area, ODOT would like travelers across Oregon to be aware of a major closure of all southbound lanes of I-5 in Portland between I-84 and I-405 starting September 11th and lasting up to five weeks. Protecting our immigrant communities is more than just a local, Portland issue. And supporting the City of Newport in their efforts to fight ICE is an easy decision. I’m proud to join Keith Wilson in contributing a combined $20,000 towards Newport’s legal challenge of a new ICE detention and processing facility at the Newport Municipal Airport.
