Clay Classes Portland

Join me in my beautiful clay studio in NE Portland! I share my studio with six other inspiring artists who welcome beginners into the space. My area opens up to the outdoors making it a perfectly comfortable and naturally lit studio. I mostly enjoy throwing porcelain on the potter’s wheel, then altering and carving into the forms. Teaching ceramics is my passion. I introduce hand-building techniques, such as coil and slab building, and then progress students to the potter’s wheel! After we create our functional or sculptural pieces, we fire them in the kiln and glaze them! If you have prior experience with clay, we can focus on various advanced techniques. Allow your work to represent you! Students leave my class not only with accomplished work, but a memorable experience.
