We’re looking for an enthusiastic volunteer coach who wants to make a difference in the lives of our incredible Special Olympics athletes. No matter your experience level, if you have a passion for swimming and inclusion, we’d love to hear from you!

The Portland Flames are hitting the ice, and we need your support! We’re raising funds to help provide our athletes with the equipment they need to play safely and confidently. For many of our players, this is their very first time stepping onto the ice, making this an exciting opportunity to discover new passions and grow through sports.

Hockey equipment is essential, but it can also be expensive. Our goal is to raise $7,500 to ensure every athlete has the proper gear and support they need to succeed.

The Flames recently held their first hockey practice with incredible support from the Portland Firefighters Hockey Club, helping introduce our athletes to the game and making the experience a huge success.

With the addition of hockey, the Portland Flames now offer opportunities for athletes to participate in:

Our mission continues to grow, creating more opportunities for athletes of all abilities to compete, build friendships, and be part of a team.

Last week, the Portland Flames took the court at the Special Olympics Maine Basketball Tournament! 🏀🔥

All three teams competed with incredible effort, teamwork, and heart—and we’re proud to share that one of our teams brought home a 2nd place finish! 🥈

So proud of all our athletes and the way they represent the Flames every time they play. Keep it going! 💪
