Happy Name Day SOPHIA (Wisdom), ELPIDA (Hope), PISTI (Faith) and AGAPI (Love)! 🙏 Thursday, September 17th. Χρόνια Πολλά!

The Holy Martyrs Saint Sophia and her Daughters were born in Italy in the Second Century, AD. The mother, St. Sophia, whose name means Wisdom in Greek, was a pious Christian widow who named her daughters for the three Christian virtues, which are Faith, Hope and Love. ❤️❤️❤️

Greek women want the whole package… Greek men just want to know what’s for dinner. 😅
From “good with Yiayia” and “takes her to Greece” to pastitsio, spanakopita and avgolemono — some priorities are just very Greek. ❤️

Tag someone who will definitely relate to this one! 😂

On this sacred day, we honor the profound significance of the Elevation of the Venerable and Life-Giving Cross. The Cross symbolizes the ultimate sacrifice and triumph of love over suffering, a testament to Christ’s unwavering devotion to humanity. 🌟

May the Cross continue to guide our lives, offering hope, love, and strength to all who embrace its message. 📸 /

On Wednesday, September 16, we commemorate Saint EUPHEMIA the Great Martyr. 🙏

The Holy Great Martyr Euphemia the All-Praised suffered for Christ in the year 304 A.D. in the city of Chalcedon, on the banks of the Bosphorus, opposite Constantinople. St. Euphemia (Αγία Ευφημία) is especially associated with the spiritual strengths of faithfulness, courage, perseverance, and devotion to the truth and the Orthodox faith. ☦️

Χρόνια Πολλά to all those celebrating their Name Day!!!
