Providence Talks was developed based on research initially completed in 1995 by child psychologists Betty Hart and Todd Risley at the University of Kansas.
Providence Talks is a free program that helps families support caregiver-child communication and lay the foundation for early language and literacy by playing, talking, and reading together. Today we will kick off Week Of the Young Child with singing and dancing! Music allows children to express feelings and encourages language and math development. You will be creating rhythms, experimenting with pitch and melody and inviting movement while sharing in the joy of music!
Here are a few ideas of how you can use household items to make musical instruments with your kids at home!
¡Hoy daremos inicio a la Semana del Niño Pequeño con cantos y bailes! La música permite a los niños expresar sus sentimientos y fomenta el desarrollo del lenguaje y las matemáticas. ¡Crearán ritmos, experimentarán con el tono y la melodía, e invitarán al movimiento mientras comparten la alegría de la música!
